Roy: Stand up guy…If Romo sucks, I would say Romo Sucks

By dcfanatic, November 8, 2009 1:24 am

Roy Williams is a stand up guy. And he doesn't think Tony Romo sucks. And he's not trying to tear apart the team. And he still thinks they will get it together and find a rhythm.

But. If he did think Romo sucked then he would say that Romo sucks.

How do I know all of this?

Because he was on The Radio Road Show from Philly tonight with Patrick Crayton and Mickey Spagnola. This show airs on DC.com.

And before you listen let me tell you this much. This is about a 4.5 minute clip from the show. The audio is dreadful and that's on DC.com because I guess Jerry doesn't want to invest in some real audio equipment for the website. You can listen to the complete show here.

So I did my best to clean it up a little. BUT IT IS NOT EDITED AS FAR AS CONTENT OF WHAT WAS ACTUALLY SAID. So don't even go there with me in an email or on the comments.

Roy and Crayton on Radio Road Show

I don't think there is another player in the NFL who talks more about their college career more than Roy Williams. It's not a bad thing either, it's just something I have noticed from him.

Roy, go out tomorrow night and put up a TD against the Eagles.

Sounds good to me.

Next time the mediots enter the Cowboys Lockerroom, I would love for the the OLs band to get together sing this song to them

You think we suck
Do you really think we give a ****
We're drinkin forties
Oh lordy, lordy

Audio quality might have something to do with the apology for "technical difficulties" they put out there at the start of the clip.

I watch the show every week and the audio has always been poor, dating back to last year. I don't think we can blame Jerry for that though?

It's more of a live show for the fans in house that gets recorded. But they surely can do a better job.

Shango said it best.

Had 81 made comments like this, ESPN would be having a field day.

No, Bristol would've exploded. They would've had a Cowboy Controversy ticker at the bottom of the screen with updates every 10 minutes.

Have you been under a rock for the past week?

Actually they did have all that.

It was all over ESPN, ESPNEWS, PTI, First Take, ESPN.COM (Almost every columnist had a blog or something on it), ESPNDALLAS.COM.

Exactly. But Hoofbite never has any background info.

He's my newest super groupie so he has to try and take a shot at me around every corner. It's silly, but if that's what he wants to be then so be it.

I am sure Jerry can afford a few good mics, a board, etc to at least make sure the shows are listenable. This isn't the first time it sounded like they were in a submarine off the coast of Japan. This is the Dallas Cowboys and this show is on every Saturday.

If I am making sure I have the greatest stadium in the world I think I can produce a radio show that at least sounds like an NFL team is behind it.

What info is needed to throw out a possibility?

Its not like I was dictating to anyone that those technical difficulties were the problem. Just putting a possibility out there.

And again, with this "groupie" stuff. If I am your groupie, what are you to Jerry Jones?

If you'd rather I not post in your threads, just let me know. I'll stay out of them.

I haven't been keeping up with the Boys in the past 4-5 days but why would Roy Williams have to come out and state that "he isn't trying to tear the team apart"?

As far as talking about his College Career, I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that he is from Texas, went to the University of Texas and is now playing for a professional team in Texas.

Roy Williams just needs to start throwing out the standard cliched comments to the media and just understand that until he plays better on the field, the media, including Michael Irvin will continue to bait him into saying things and trying to find a story when there isn't one.

Roy has to do that until he's out of this funk.

But I spoke to Broaddus on Thursday and Roy is the most available guy in the locker room it seems.
