August 4th Training Camp afternoon session

Well I spent the afternoon at the Alamo dome and it was packed but I did manage to get some video and pics for you guys. Right off the bat I'll tell you what I saw keep in mind this place is huge and as you know the field is limited so sometimes I couldn't be with the defense because I was following the offense. So this is mostly the offense I will try to go tomorrow and check out the defense.

First I saw all the practices for special teams and this is what I saw.....
lots of speed from Felix Jones and Miles Austin who took turns receiving the ball.

• Nice nice cuts from Felix that at times completely faked out the defender enabling him to slash his way into some open holes for big gains. You can tell felix is at 100% and ready to go very impressive speed also here.

• Miles Austin also has some very nice gains but his came from pure speed, if he can get up there he's gone. He didn't cut as much as Felix did instead he just used his quickness to cut into the wedge and get past defenders pretty quickly it was nice to watch.

Sorry no videos and pics of this segment I apologize, actually this kind of surprised me they were doing this even before stretching happened don't know why. I think special teams is putting in overtime like crazy they were out there at 2:30 PM 45 minutes before the stretching began. I think Wade is making sure that special teams makes up for last year and it looks like the extra work by the special teams should help.


I was a little disappointed that I didn't see more Romo to Roy catches I mean he did throw to him but not as much as I wish he did, I still think they need more work together just them two like Troy and Mike used to.

Tony and Witten were on the same page, very accurate and effecient....

Again on the offense side, Barber had some nice runs and I really focused on him and checked him out because as we all know his injury last year although small really sidelined him severely but I also saw him at 100% cutting hard and dashing diagonally with fervor as usual here is a nice video....

Now I have been hearing some talk of the Cowboys using all 3 running backs at one time yes Barber, felix, and Choice....hear they are calling them Slash, Dash, and Tash ha...well check out these pics of drills with Romo...very intriguing...

In this picture looks like Felix is at Wideout position but them moves in for a handoff or decoy...

In this set up Choice was over on the right side as a wide out and then motioned in between the two running backs but Garrett called it back, I think they got the positions wrong and he wanted to tell them where Choice was suppose to be....

Ok correct me if I'm wrong but NO 83 is Julian Hawkins correct??? This guy is BAD!

Okay I also have some defense and offense action with Tony rolling out and striking Roy in the flats, I like when Romo rolls or scrambles to his right....

And last a great HIT on defense on Tashard Choice (sorry choice) but it was a great plug...oh and one thing I noticed on defense Dware limited action probably a precaution....
