Austin and Goodwin just ran a 4.25 40

A team will be very happy with Tavon Austin.. Speed is always great, but I just don't see Goodwin's game translating to the NFL

Goodwin has looked good all post season. Why are you skeptical?

I heard the nfl radio guys talking about the 49ers wanting Tavon Austin how it would be a perfect fit. That would be a deadly combo.

Patterson 4.34 more important, just took that option out of Jerry's hands.

He supposedly struggled in position drills catching the football.

That guy has ridiculous talent.

Some crazy fast people in this draft even some olinemen. Can't wait to see if there are some fast good safeties because we need one.

Every year we have to remind everyone to not fall for the unofficial times.

In this case
the official times are

Goodwin = 4.27 (that is still awesome)
Austin = 4.34 (not 4.25)
McCaleb = 3.34 (not 4.21)

Chris Johnson's 4.24 still stands

Goodwin can't beat press coverage either.

true, but if you put him in motion, use screens, reverses, or bring him to the flat out of the backfield, he could be killer. Plus, if he is able to beat press coverage, the CB is dead, cause Goodwin is gone.....With Dez, Austin, Witten, Murray, Hanna, and Harris...it will be hard for them to jam Goodwin consistently. Most of the coverage will be to slow Dez, Austin, Witten, and Murray....leaving the rest a huge opportunity to step up and make plays.

nobody is going to put in a bunch of packages for Goodwin, he'll be a return guy, occasional deep threat.

When someone has elite speed like that, you find a way to get him the ball 3-5 times a game on offense and see what he can do with it......I am cool with him being a return guy. He and Harris would make a lethal combo for sure.

I just spit my coffee at out that 3.34. :laugh2: :laugh2:

Thought we just got our first verifiable proof that mutants exist.
