Austin and Hurd were rookie free agents!!

That is awesome!!

Therefore, what makes them different from Amendola and Jefferson? The Cowboys should send them (Amendola and Jefferson) to the practice squad and they will be mature and ready to start in the future. When the time comes for T.O. to retire, the Cowboys will be in good shape.

Can you imagine that, in a few years, most of the Cowboy WRs would be "rookie free agents!"...Austin, Hurd, Amendola, Jefferson.

In the other hand, you have all these drafted WRs having problems making a transition to the NFL with their respective teams:

Malcolm Kelly
Mike Williams
Troy Williamson
Matt Jones
Sinorice Moss
Ted Ginn, Jr....the list continues......

Austin and Hurd can easily be starters for a few teams in the NFL. So, give some credit to the Cowboy organization for being patient. They are in no means desperate to make a trade for a "drafted" and more experienced WR.

One more thing....HOW ABOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a huge difference when contending for a championship and building for the future.

Two years ago we probably thought there was no way Austin or Hurd would be as good as Terrence Copper. You never know.

So was Romo, does that mean you'd trade him for Matt Leinart?

True, you never know. Hurd has actually worked really hard to get to the point he is now. And so has Austin.

But Austin always had the speed, and Hurd has a great work ethic..

Amendola definately doesnt have the speed, so for his sake lets hope he has some work ethic.

Well, from every report I've read, and if you can believe what Tank Johnson says, he does have a strong work ethic.

I can actually believe Tank Johnson. So you never know on him. I can see him contributing for an NFL team eventually. Just not sure if its here and now.

Amendela has a 8 feet 7 inch broad jump. That means he has zero explosion/natural ability or lack of work ethic.

I went first and only try 8-2 standing long jump after a few beers at age 43 = LOL:laugh2:

Yeah, but are you still betting Amendola gets cut? I bet you're not so sure now, are you?

Yes Nors, we've been over this. As sad and pathetic it is that you actually got drunk at did long jumps in your kitchen to try and validate your point, it doesn't make it any more truthful. You've gone out of your way to put down this player, so much so that everyone ignores you on this topic as much as they do everything else....and that little tidbit (which is only reported by one site when every other site reports that he didn't do the long jump) is the best you can come up with. In the long run, your insubstantial attempts to degrade this guy aren't correct, whether he makes the team or not.

You just know that this is the exact type of comment that real NFL people look at and just laugh their *** off.

One site (and one site only) has reported an 8'7" broad jump and from that sketchy information some guy sitting on his couch decides that the player has zero explosion. And he says it with such conviction that there is no doubt in his mind.

But the kicker is that the 8'7" broad jump has also conviced our wannabe (New England) personnel director that said player has no work ethic. :laugh2:

If that doesn't convince the masses that Nors knows absolutely nothing (and states it as if it is fact), then nothing will.

Well there's no other place quite like this place anywhere near this place, so this must be the place.
