Austin and Hurd were rookie free agents!!
That is awesome!!
Therefore, what makes them different from Amendola and Jefferson? The Cowboys should send them (Amendola and Jefferson) to the practice squad and they will be mature and ready to start in the future. When the time comes for T.O. to retire, the Cowboys will be in good shape.
Can you imagine that, in a few years, most of the Cowboy WRs would be "rookie free agents!"...Austin, Hurd, Amendola, Jefferson.
In the other hand, you have all these drafted WRs having problems making a transition to the NFL with their respective teams:
Malcolm Kelly
Mike Williams
Troy Williamson
Matt Jones
Sinorice Moss
Ted Ginn, Jr....the list continues......
Austin and Hurd can easily be starters for a few teams in the NFL. So, give some credit to the Cowboy organization for being patient. They are in no means desperate to make a trade for a "drafted" and more experienced WR.
One more thing....HOW ABOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!
