Any of you see that? Engle's reporting Austin will play against Philly. NIce. I imagine he'll be the #4 option and Jefferson will go back to the P.Squad. I just want to know how we're going to keep those rabid dogs off Romo without MB3 at full speed.........

Great, just another weapon to add to the mix. As for Barber we will see how he feels today and as the week progresses

Great, we need him. I never really appreciated him or Hurd, but if you double down on TO it becomes much harder to move the ball w/o a good 3rd receiver.

Barber said he could have played ..... and it was not really that big a deal.

We also have an extra day for Barber to heal better, since we are playing the Monday night game.

With Barbers style of running they better be fitting him for some kind of flak vest to protect those ribs though! I just dont want the injury to linger. If we didnt need him so bad in pass protection I would sit him this game. But having the two rookies back there picking up blitzs against Philly makes me very very scared. I think the running game would be fine for a couple games without Barber but I would be very scared that Romo would get killed with a blitz pickup being missed.

EXCELLENT NEWS ON AUSTIN!

I bet Barber will wear a flack jacket and won't miss a down.

If the Eags blitz they actually need ot worry about Felix popping one on them. I swear in his 6 touches yesterday he was 1 man from a TD at least 5 times.

If you wholesale blitz you better make sure someone can tackle Jones because they aren't catching him from behind.

I want 4 receiver sets of TO, Austin, Stanback, and Crayton. Add Witten in, Jebus.

Thats a concern if he can pick up the eagles blitz =/

His technique definetely needs to be better and a year on the weights will help too.

But the positive thing is it looks like he knows where to be. Thats 90% of it right there.

I agree JT. If I were his position coach, I'd probably sit him down and just make him watch all the film I could get my hands on of Roger Craig. If Jones can get a bit of a high step going, he could probably have taken two or three of those to the house. He was tripped up by the ankles a couple times this year. Just a little bit of a high step would take care of that.

:)

This is real good news. I can see Barber in just as an extra pass protection, so that Romo get get the deep ball to Miles or TO.

I was sorta thinking the same, but then I thought teaching him to high step (when it's not his natural running style) may take away from his explosiveness. I would rather have him work on his balance a bit more if possible.
