I asked during the off season what happens if both he and Roy cannot deliver. What is plan B.
You are trying to change the debate away from Austin. Who just might end up being a glorified Billy Davis.
When he was a nobody against the third corner he posted over 100-yards against the Packers.
Now when he is the focal point of their defensive scheme because of his break out against teams with a lot less talent at corner, he has twenty yards and is a non-factor.
If Austin is truly a number one as so many here have hoped - another Cinderella story - then he needs to show up against double teams.
Regardless of who is on the other side.
...well Austin has the best RAC in the league and Garrett will need to find ways to get him the ball without force-feeding him...Romo has to connect though...Austin is the #1 guy at wide receiver, it's not even close right now...Williams looks to be coming to life but he has some ground to make up...
...defenses are going to take Austin away now...they did the same to Owens...the challenge for Dallas is getting good production from Crayton, Williams and Witten...they have'nt shown that they can do that yet with consistency...Jones is the x-factor but the equation equals pretty much zero right now...we figured he'd become a bigger part of the offense by now, injury notwithstanding...i guess the jury is still out but he's clearly less confident and wearing the knee brace in games proves it...
...except for Witten, it really is a young and unproven receiving corp...it shows...you just had to know that the double-teams of Austin were coming...now Dallas has to respond...adapt and overcome...
