Very very interesting subject, and I'm sure a lot of you've never even heard of this before.

Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is a physical sensation characterized by a pleasurable tingling that typically begins in the head and scalp, and often moves down the spine and through the limbs.
Also known as : AIHO (Attention induced head orgasm), AIE (Attention induced euphoria), or simply "head orgasms"/"head tingles".
COMMON TRIGGERS
  • Slow speech patterns, accents, soft-speaking voices and whispers.
  • Clicking sounds, brushing sounds, white noise, etc.
  • Instructional videos
  • Watching other people performing simple tasks
  • Getting close, personal attention from someone (eye-exam, make-over, etc.)
  • Haircuts, people playing with your hair
  • Bob Ross.

This is a very cool thing, because I used to experience this all the time when my mom would watch QVC and for the past few years it was given the name ASMR and a lot of people investigating it to figure out why it happens.

Very hard thing to explain but I bet there are a lot of zoners who experience it and never knew it had a name.

Oh yeah. I didn't know it had been classified. In fact, I thought it was just me and I sure wasn't gonna mention it.

Currently women doing the weather precipitates((---ha) it but especially slightly obtuse ones.(I don't know, don't ask me) When I was young kid, listening to one teacher produced this effect and also when my neighbor cut my hair.

It's sort of a hypnotic experience. As it is, I need to go watch the weather channel for some reason...

Interesting. This explains why I used to love watching my Dad draw/design when I was a child. My Dad is an architect and he had a home office and I could sit and watch him design and be in total heaven watching the precise movements of his hands and design tools. Watching Bob Ross paint and getting haircuts causes the same feeling.
