avatar sizing help

I'm trying to add an avatar from photoshop. The size is 65 X 71 @ 14kb. I get the file is too large message when trying to save changes. Can anyone help?

That size sounds ok however it may be a format issue...make sure you save the image as a .gif or .jpg/jpeg format.

Then give it a try.

Thanks for the help. It is very kind of you. I cannot figure out how to get the jpeg from my machine into this post but here is the page that I found it on. I truly appreciate any effort that you are willing to offer me considering I am a hated Commander fan. Not a troll. Never have been, never will be!
