I have been listening to rock and classic rock radio stations for probably 4 decades and never heard these songs:
1) Thin Lizzy - "Whiskey in the Jar." My all-time favorite song. First heard it after I bought a various artist best hits CD in Japan. Played it for hours. Just the perfect song in my mind.
2) Kinks - "Waterloo Sunset." I think it is #42 on Rolling Stone Best 500 Songs. A classic.
3) Small Faces - "Itchycoo Park." Absolutely beautiful song.
4) Procul Harum - "A Souvenir of London." Great tune. Hilarious lyrics.
5) Ian Hunter - "I wish I was your Mother." Just a beautiful song.

Don't know why I never heard any of these ever on the radio. To those who may have never heard, enjoy. Any songs you like but never heard on the radio?

Two more.
Small Faces - "Here come the Nice" This song just puts a smile on my face no matter what.
Iggy Pop - "We're Nightclubbing." Friend recommended the movie Trainspotting. I hated the movie but thankful for the introduction to this song. I always laugh at the lyric "We're an ice machine."

Whiskey in the jar is played very quite often on the radio in Ireland. Also I have heard Itchycoo Park on the radio quite a bit but it has been a while.

Whiskey in the Jar is an Irish song dating way back I believe that Thin Lizzy popularized outside of Ireland.

My favorite version of it is Metallica's version.

Love the Small Faces, but The Faces were IT for me.

Rod Stewart
Ronnie Wood (Rolling Stones)
Kenny Jones (The Who)
Ian McGlagan
Ronnie Lane

That is a SERIOUS lineup.

I'm not particularly religious but I find "Bringing in the Sheaves" by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir to be just an amazing song...
