First started out with cool weather in oxnard. Went to showing some footage of running backs, wide receivers, especially T O and Adam Jones.

T O said he is going to win and whup Adam, laughing while saying it, and Adam said, yeah, he is going to win one and be smiling at the end of the day, but the next day I am going to win, lots of competition here.

Showed Felix Jones on film running, wow he is super fast and quick. Felix talked about starting as a wide receiver, but got moved during his younger days. Brady mentioned him in the passing game, something Julius hardly did last year, and Felix said, yeah, its going to be alot of fun catching passes downfield etc.

We really have a runner here, just like Jason Witten said on 103.3 Felix could be just as good as Westbrook, maybe even better, but a super star.

Went to Barber, showing some runs in practice and to Randy White. White touched on the leadership focus, and the way he led, talk and saying is good, but its better to lead by example. Randy White pointed to Zach Thomas being that player.

Randy then was asked about distractions, especially the deal with Romo and Jessica. White said, no matter what you say, example some player says it isnt a distraction, but White said it is, period. To me Romo needs to be called on that, even remmeber now Brady told Romo not to bring his girlfriend to the game. Randy said it is a distraction, if you want to put a stop to it you can, which lead me to think possibly Romo likes all of this attention, even though it distracts the team.

Talked about Hurd and Austin working hard, and they will be good.

Lots of film footage of practice out at oxnard, and they will broadcast this at midnight tonigh, or near that time.

CrazyCowboy I am beginning to think that Romo likes all of this attention, to him its not a distraction, but in some regards it does take away from football, your mind iif your the leader of this team should be on football, not partying or your girlfriend.

I do know sure he needs a life, but when your the leader of the Dallas Cowboys you have to pay a price and be that accountable leader.

Go back and think, when Romo was with the team, those first 4 years, till midseason, he didnt get all of that attention, the limelight, so now he loves it, whether that is wrong or right, i dont know, but the team should come first, not partying.

Randy White said, went on to say, if a certain guy, wanted to keep his personal life his own business he could if he wanted too. Randy White did,and he gots lots of attention too, but he kept his personal life his own business. I might be wrong, but sure seems that way, listen to RAndy white tonight crazycowboy at midnight and tell me what you think, especially randys thoughts on leadership, and playoff playing.

I think some of you are taking this ting way too far. Yeah the past Cowboys have their opinions, but that is all it is. Some of them may (and this is what I believe) be speaking out of envy.

So I would take what they say with a grain of salt. This team is special and it has that "IT" factor and some of those old guys that are hanging around more now days, really miss it and they are wishing that they were playing still.

Now, don't get me wrong, once they rode for the Brand, and they still do, Cowboys for life. But you know how olld timers get/are, some of us that have children in sports do and say the same things to and about our kids that those guys are saying about this team and Romo.

Do you hear Staubach making a big deal about Romo and Jessica? Is Aikman or Meredith making a big deal?

It is the way things are now days, I say let Romo be himself and Jessica can go to all the games, we will still win.

But in Randy's day...there were'nt digital cameras everywhere and the paparatzi is alot more crazy now. Celebs can't even go comando...err....sneeze without the flash bulbs popping. It's harder now to keep your private life private, but you could at least try which Romo didn't do.

i agree DC he wasnt singling out Romo, he was saying in retrospect after brady asked the question on distractions, if a player wants to, wants to, he can stop that, no ifs ands or buts, but he could stop the distractions, and make his personal life his own, and distractions are a distractions, no matter what a player says.

i am not trying to throw romo under the bus, i might be wrong, and i admited that, but if a pro bowl QB like tom brady said dont bring your gf to the game, their is a reason for that.

and all im trying to say, maybe tony loves this limelight he is getting and he likes all of the attention. To me that takes away from your concentration on the game at hand etc, when you have to deal with those issues. Thats what im trying to say, and maybe Romo doesnt see it.

i do like however how romo is stepping up and working on things, even nate said that, he is more focused this year on cowboys training camp on blue star, but that last year, there was way too many distractions for romo in what he saw.

Well I remember back in the early 80's I was at a strip club near Bachman Lake and Randy White was there with some friends. All the strippers were gathered around his table, It was a Saturday night before a home game against Philly which the Cowboys lost the next day. Now did Randy's night with the pole dancers have a influence on the game? I don't know but it certainly didn't keep him from going out on the town. I know for certain that Randy White had his fun when he was a Cowboy because of this and other instances so I'll just take a little salt with his critique of Romo.

I swear I saw Toms g/f at one of his games this year

Randy White was a great player but he certainly isn't Sigmund Freud. If Randy White was toiling in these internet and cell phone camera days maybe he would be would appear more attention whorish as well.

At times Romo could have used better judgment even though he didn't do anything wrong, i.e., Cabo trip. He is a young man still publically maturing in the role of Dallas Cowboys quarterback.

Parcells stated that he did not want Romo to become a celebrity quarterback. But it is hard not to be one because of the team visibility and the fact that Romo happens to be an exciting talented player. Romo will learn from his past and present mistakes.

I really do wish he would singing though. He sounds like a braying *******.

To me, the only thing that has changed is the media attention. Romo played golf in the off season before and he does it now. His girl probably came out before and they come out now. He would go out and have a good time with team mates before and he does so now. He became a media sensation and a regular season machine with all this before, nothing to say he won't continue getting better now.

From what I understand, he is still at every practice, he works with receivers, he is there for fans, and he continues to quiz vet players to try to learn everything he can about the game. I do have a problem with the blonde celeb girlfriends but that is because I also believe that if Dallas is losing while I am sitting, standing will turn their luck ;)

I understand what you guys are saying, and I didnt know that about Randy White in the strip club.

What I am trying to say is this, when Romo is saying, his partying, being seen with Jessica etc isnt a distraction, is does Romo really like doing this so when he goes out to these parties, bringing Jessica, he must be aware he is going to get hit wilth all the publicity, so is he doing this to get more attention?

Thats what I am trying to say, not so much trying to point him out, its kinda like Roy Williams said awhile back, sometimes you get in a groove, kinda numb to what your doing, not realizing what actually is happening. And until you realize that, your not seeing it.

I do know that when Roger Staubach was in his hey day, he had lots of scrunity, coverage by media etc, even Troy Aikman, and you could barely get any news on whom Troy was dating or being seen with. Even when Troy wife had a baby, barely any coverage on it.

We all know that Jessica Simpson father loves publicity, and he encourages it, even to the point where I read in one media write up, Jessica father went on to say, he would try to encourage more coverage and publicity on Tony Romo.

Thats what I am trying to say, when you have all of this happening, the celebrity etc, some of that energy that is being focused on that, that takes away from the energy you could have being focused on football, and championships.

Kinda like what Terry Bradshaw said one time, as a pro football QB and championship QB leading the Steelers to 4 superbowls, he said that is a price that you have to pay to be that leader when your in the limelight, and you have to handle that right, to be the leader of the team, and dont let that publicity=medai pop rozety take away from your football.

And until he wins, it will continue to be talked about. The name of the game is winning. The best way for him to shut people up is to win.

Basically, what begets what? Is his lifestyle the focus because of him not winning or is him not winning being talked about because of his lifestyle? If he wins, this will go away. No one would care if he did what Eli did.

But like it or not, mean for it or not, Simpson is now a distraction. He has a tough, very tough choice to make. Every camp blog begins or ends with, "no Jessica sightings yet"

He is a winning quarterback, granted in regular season. The problem is he can't win or lose by himself. This year barring injuries this team will go deep into the playoffs.

Personally, I think people need to worry less about who Romo or any other player is doing and try to get someone of their own to do.

Well Randy may speak from experience. Did you consider that? He has obviously had his share of distractions too as you put it. The bottom line is this until Romo wins a championship people are going to make these comments and rightfully so.

How is Romo supposed to date and keep it quiet? He goes out with a few male friends & the police have to be called to get him out of the restaurant and to his girl. He takes Simpson out to dinner & his picture taken as they leaving the restaurant. About the only thing he can do is either going to her home, she come to his home or leave town together for a couple of days.

In understand Joe Simpson told the media a few days ago that Jessica would be attending TC; why he felt the need to draw attention to himself & to her is anybody's guess but we all know he wants the media spotlight and will do anything to get it. I did read 1-2 days ago that Tony & she were seen out at a restaurant but so far she hasn't been at TC. Now that sounds to me like both limiting tabloid access to their activities & Hard Knock focus on their relationship. The reality is that so long as Romo is single & needs to win a playoff game/SB he will always draw the media.

As for Tom Brady giving Romo advice, maybe Romo should have told Brady not to get his girl friend pregnant while he in the midst of breaking it off & starting up with someone else.

I never said Randy was distracted, I said I don't know if he was. I doubt he was, just as I doubt Tony has been distracted.

I'm not sure I buy the distracted line of thought at all, I guess it applies at times but how much I simply can't say. I do believe this, if Tony doesn't win a championship it won't be because he dates Jessica Simpson.
