I know every person in every fanbase thinks that their team suffers the worst types of losses. Having said that, I don't think it's being biased to say no other team in the NFL has suffered as many "Rip your heart out" losses as the Dallas Cowboys. This team's ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory is nothing short of amazing.

Look back over the past 5, 6, or 7 years. I counted 20 devastating and often once in a lifetime kinds of losses. The top of the list being:

1. Giants- 2007 playoffs (dominant all year, Crayton's drop, Ware not being offsides, 2 intentional groundings, etc.)
2. Seahawks-2006 playoffs (self explanatory)
3. Commanders-2006 (blocked kick, facemask as time expires, Commanders' GW kick)

The list goes on and on. I'd much rather just get blown out.

/awkward rant

I can't disagree right now. It's to the point where when we were up 7 in the 4th, that I mentally prepared myself for the possibility of blowing it. I said to myself at that point, if we are going to lose, let it be on a Nick Folk kick (I am a fan of Folk and don't think he should have been released as bad of a slump he was in).

Reminded me of that Steelers game from a few years ago. Game seemingly in control late in the fourth, followed by backbreaking Romo INT. Oh well.

Arizona with McBriar's ankle broken.

For some reason, this team seems to find a way to let the simple mistakes turn into an avalanche of ****.

It's mind boggling how many ways this team can find to lose.

Even after a great first drive and it was, I still didn't see us winning on this day.
As far as the rest of your post I agree, it's amazing how it seems to always be the Boys who find a way to lose. I'm hoping the new mentality around this team changes that, I think it will.

my exact thoughts...as we were up 14 early in the 4th, this is the exact game that came to mind

the 2 moss bombs from brunell come to mind

Agreed about the Steelers 2008 game. Definitely felt just like that game.

Cardinals-2008
Ravens-2008 (back to back marathon runs by McClain and McGahee to close Texas Stadium)
Seahawks-2005 (Bledsoe's hideous interception to Babineaux)
Commanders-2005 (2 Moss TD's late)
Commanders-2010 (Choice's fumble and holding on GW TD pass)

It's just mind-boggling when you try to wrap your head around all of these losses.

Roy Williams having the ball stolen vs the Saints
A missed extra point after the should-have-been tying touchdown vs. Arizona

If i diddnt know better, Id say the game last night had a 63 year old, 300 lb stench of failure to it.

Roy williams actually catches the ball in the endzone, but alex barron was holding last year against the skins.

Hey, this game is fun.....

All i kept thinking about was the Steelers game after Romo fumbled.

The amazing thing about this habit of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is that there seems to be a concerted effort to find new ways to do it. (except for Romo's ints. and two blocked punts).

Never thought I'd see the blocked punt for the loss twice. At least McBriar didn't break his foot!?

I'm just starting to recover from this one. I hate the ones like this that really crush you for a few days. San Fran needs to pay for this!
