1. Houston Texas, Reggie Bush, RB, USC... Choosing anyone else would be a colossal mistake.

2. New Orleans Saints, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT, Virginia... They'll be very tempted by Mario Williams but Ferguson is a better bet.

3. Tennessee Titans, Vince Young, QB, Texas... Coaches want Matt Leinart, but GM Floyd Reese thinks Young has a bigger upside.

4. New York Jets, Mario Williams, DE, North Carolina State... They'll pass on Matt Leinart to take the pass rusher.

5. Green Bay Packers, A.J. Hawk, OLB, Ohio State... GM Ted Thompson will field trade offers for teams wanting Leinart.

6. San Francisco 49ers, Vernon Davis, TE, Maryland... 49ers add an offensive playmaker, bringing their total to one.

7. Oakland Raiders, Matt Leinart, QB, USC... Maybe Andrew Walter isn't the QB of the future.

8. Buffalo Bills, Brodrick Bunkley, DT, Florida State... Quick and powerful, he can get into the backfield.

9. Detroit Lions, Michael Huff, S, Texas... Lions get some much-needed help for their secondary.

10. Arizona Cardinals, Jay Cutler,QB, Vanderbilt... They won't pass up another franchise QB, will they?

11. St. Louis Rams, Chad Greenway, OLB, Iowa... Rams might try to trade up and take Cutler.

12. Cleveland Browns, Kamerion Wimbley, DE, Florida State... The Browns need someone to rush the passer and Wimbley is the guy.

13. Baltimore Ravens, Haloti Ngata, DT, Oregon... With only two picks on the first day, the Ravens are open to trading down.

14. Philadelphia Eagles, Ernie Sims, OLB, Florida State... Fits perfectly in the defensive scheme.

15. Denver Broncos, Laurence Maroney, RB, Minnesota... Mike Shanahan takes a back in the first round for the first time.

16. Miami Dolphins, Manny Lawson, DE, North Carolina State.... Dolphins need a pass rusher opposite Jason Taylor.

17. Minnesota Vikings, Winston Justice, OT, USC... He'll be motivated after sliding this far.

18. Dallas Cowboys, Santonio Holmes, WR, Ohio State... Oh, my, the Cowboys have some weapons at receiver now.

19. San Diego Chargers, Antonio Cromartie, CB, Florida State... A big risk since he started just one college game.

20. Kansas City Chiefs, Tye Hill, CB, Clemson... The run on defensive backs has officially started.

21. New England Patriots, Donte Whitner, S, Ohio State... Perfect for the Pats because he can also play cornerback.

22. San Francisco 49ers, Chad Jackson, WR, Florida... 49ers desperately need some talent at receiver.

23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Johnathan Joseph, CB, South Carolina... Bucs starting corners are in their 30s. Time to groom a replacement.

24. Cincinnati Bengals, Jimmy Williams, DB, Virginia Tech... He's got an attitude but coach Marvin Lewis can handle it.

25. New York Giants, Richard Marshall, CB, Fresno State... The Giants don't have many glaring needs so they join the cornerback rush.

26. Chicago Bears, Marcedes Lewis, TE, UCLA... The Bears need all the offensive help they can get.

27. Carolina Panthers, DeAngelo Williams, RB, Memphis... LenDale White ate himself out of being taken here.

28. Jacksonville Jaguars, DeMeco Ryans, OLB, Alabama... Some scouts think he's a better pick than Ernie Sims.

29. New York Jets, Nick Mangold, C, Ohio State... Some teams think Mangold is a little small at 300 pounds.

30. Indianapolis Colts, Joseph Addai, RB, LSU... He won't replace 'Edge' but he's a nice addition to Dominic Rhodes.

31. Seattle Seahawks, Ashton Youboty, CB, Ohio State... Seahawks need a cornerback and this draft is deep in them.

32. Pittsburgh Steelers, Sinorice Moss, WR, Miami... The Steelers need a receiver and return man to replace Antwaan Randle El.[/FONT]

Wouldn't be the pick I would like, but wouldn't jump off a bridge either. No Carpenter in the 1st round, but a lot of corners?

I wouldn't cry if we got him.

He is going to be a very good player and we won't get a player anywhere near his calibre after the first round. The draft is deep with OT's and OLB's though.

Wait... the Dolphins already have Jason Taylor... they don't need another pass rusher like him... they need a player to compliment Taylor.

Parcells likes to draft smallish burners at receivers (sure he didnt WANT Glenn but likes those types). He drafted Coles although he didnt coach him. Stephen Baker, Shawn Jefferson are all burners he coached.
