Romo sucks

Either Romo sucks or T.O. sucks is what he's suggesting, I can't even keep it straight anymore.

Too bad T.O. doesn't feel the same way about Romo.

Larry Fitzgerald said ""I want to make sure I'm accountable," Fitzgerald said, "and if I'm not, I get that death stare from Kurt, and I try to stay away from that as much as possible."

To say nothing about how the players don't feel the same way about Wade.

Instead they just laugh at Wade.

Warner's been to the show, he's proven himself...thats' where the stare comes from.

It's too bad Romo doesn't have that stare...yet

THis shouldn't be dismissed.

I think the quarterback has to be the leader on offense. Fitzgerald is arguably one of the top 5 players (regardless of position) in the NFL right now and he yields to his quarterback.

That's the way it should be.

Stuff like this is why they're headed to Tampa. Their structure is right.

Their idiot owner has been shoved aside, the son has taken over, they have a GM, a good head coach who commands respect, a quarterback who knows what he's doing and teammates who yield to his leadership.

Maybe some day ....

I seriously doubt Owens would take too well to the QB glaring at him. It could quite possibly cause an argument on the sidelines or a play or two later cause Owens to really throw a fit if he is wide open and the QB doesn't get him the ball.

The more I ponder situations like this the more I question if maybe he shouldn't just be released.

NFC Championship Football.jpg

After watching Larry Fitzgerald break NFL playoff records, it's clear that he excels at the things that are T.O.'s weaknesses.

Fitzgerald doesn't have any trouble getting off jams. He runs precise routes. And, man, does he ever make tough catches in traffic.

T.O. can make plays when he gets open and has room to run after the catch. So can Fitzgerald, but some of his biggest plays comes when he simply soars over defensive backs to snatch deep balls. Fitzgerald has an uncanny ability to locate the ball and catch it cleanly at its highest point -- words you'll never see in a scouting report on T.O.

Fitzgerald, who isn't flashy like T.O. and so many other elite receivers of this era, can also handle criticism. He has improved significantly since Todd Haley, who T.O. couldn't stand during their season together in Valley Ranch, arrived in Arizona. ("Thank you for keeping your foot on my throat for two years," Fltzgerald told Haley in front of a room full of reporters yesterday.) And Fitzgerald accepts that it's on him to make his quarterback happy.

"I want to make sure I'm accountable," Fitzgerald told the Arizona Republic yesterday, "and if I'm not, I get that death stare from Kurt, and I try to stay away from that as much as possible."

How does T.O. deal with death stares from his quarterback? Ask Donovan McNabb.

Yeah... this pulling a story and relating to TO and Romo is so much nonsense.

The only looks I am concerned are:

  • The look TO gives Romo after scoring a TD
  • The look that Romo gives TO after scoring a TD

He suggested neither.

He's suggesting we lack players being held accountable and we lack a player (or players) that will hold their teammates accountable.

Not really a difficult concept to grasp.

The only reason that's not a possibility is because Romo is currently a pansy follower. You have to be a leader to foster a level of intimidation that makes others stand up and listen.

Larry Fizgerald is better than the majority of WRs in the league, let alone TO at 35. What does saying he is the best at going for the ball in the air have to do with TO personnally? BTW, Larry Fitzgeral was catching a lot of his passes on one-on-one match-ups against the Eagles. Their coaching staff took advantage of that, while our inept offense didn't. Give TO those match-ups, he did what he did against the 49ers....

Larry Fitzgerald is a 25 year old kid. Terrell Owens isn't.

And I'm sure Plaxico Burress is absolutely terrified of Eli Manning, huh?

Which quarterback option has Terrell Owens felt accountable to during his career?
  1. Steve Young
  2. Jeff Garcia
  3. Donovan McNabb
  4. Tony Romo
  5. Some of the above
  6. None of the above
  7. All of the above
The only correct answer should be 7, but I doubt that's the right answer.

Can we stop comparing Owens to other players? It ain't working.

If Tony had a star WR with 1/2 the talent of Fitzgerald, there wouldn't need to be a "stare."

Fitzgerald gets off the line, runs precise routes, gets separation, easily beats double coverage and catches the ball with his hands, no matter it the badly the ball is thrown.

TO gets shut down at the line of scrimmage by the likes of Fred Smoot, Ralph Brown, and Rod Hood.

Careful. There will be posters who claim that Owens cannot be jammed at the line of scrimmage IF he is placed in motion before the snap. Gotta remember those loopholes.
