Azeez Ojulari

One of my favorite players in the class. He's clear cute DE1 (partially due to Phillip' injury history) so he'd be in play for me at 10 depending on what's available. He's a perfect match for the LEO role and would be great opposite of DLAW.

I'd probably rather have him than one of the CBs at 10 and then grab a CB in round 2/3. I know it's not popular opinion on here but I think Surtain/Horn are incredibly overrated.

Pitts I'll give you as a definite. Parsons is iffy but I suppose it depends on the actual base defense, which is BS.

Parsons would play a lot if he is pick 10.

How much effect he may have on things is the question.

I wonder if both OL, Pitts and Surtain are gone...do they go Parsons at 10?

I tend to think no, but then again you have one LB ready to walk and another that is much maligned...

I'd personally chance one of the edge guys or even go Moehrig at if a deal down is impossible at 10, over Parsons. JMO.

This is the doomsday scenario and highly unlikely no receiver taken in the top 7. Parsons/Horn certainly would be in play as would trade down interest.

I love Parsons as much as anyone on this board, but I think Smith and LVE are the guys for now. I think it’s important to find a LB to groom to replace Smith maybe in round 2 certainly 3. As much as we hate him that dude never comes off the field.

Yeah true.

That scenario almost definitely leaves Chase on the board at 10.

How is our phone not ringing in that case?

Chase is dynamic and I can’t imagine a team not coming up to get him.

I think he'll probably end up going around 15-25. If we traded down, and couldn't get the CB or LB we wanted, I'd love to get Ojulari. Thing is, the need is obviously there for a pass rusher, but I just don't see us drafting one in the first. Think they'll look for a situational rusher later on
I think if you look at it from the perspective of getting 3 of Parsons, Collins, Phillips, Paye, Farley, Joseph, Stokes, Davis,JOK, Moehrig, Holland, Grant, McNeil, Leatherwood, Wilson, ect. plus a 2022 first round pick. You would be happy with yourself after the first two rounds.

i like him alot.
i wonder if he's on our radar at 10 in a wipe out scenario.
helluva player.
i think he's the best DE of the Rd1 prospects.

He's a similar type of player to K'Lavon Chaisson last year, but a cleaner projection. I was all over Chaisson at #17, so I don't think #10 for Ojulari is out of the question.

I think he's DE #1 in this draft. Phillips is super, super studly, but you are gambling on a Sean Lee-esque concussion history. Paye has all the athleticism in the world, but only turned it on in fits and starts. Rousseau had one monster year where he produced in non-translatable ways, then tested out as a really mediocre athlete. Ojulari's got the combo of tools, production, and clean background that no one else in this class really has.

DE is definitely a need spot for us, as Gregory and Aldon Smith are the last guys you'd call reliable and no one's in the wings behind them. Ojulari could get subbed in for like a third of the snaps his rookie year and the door would be wide open for him in '22. That's a clear enough path to snaps in my book.

I see him as a much, much better prospect that Chaisson.

Chaisson was a + athlete on tape just didn’t have the production to match to be a first rounder.

Ojulari gives you both. I’d def consider him at 10 depending on what the board looks like.

This player has received very little chatter around here, considering he plays a position that could certainly use a depth upgrade.

Really, I dont recall seeing him in one single posted simulator/mock to Dallas.

Is it because many figure he isnt worth pick 10, but will be gone by 44?

Trade down at 10 is a real possibility, and trying to call DE not a need is the same as calling LB not a need this time last year.

Seems that he should be ranked higher, especially accounting for the shortcomings of the other edge guys in this draft.

Of course I've read the obvious, but maybe theres a UG fan around that can comment on his game and how he may fit in Dallas.
I like Ojulari ,the problem is he is only 6ft- 2in. I like see our DEs 6ft-5 and above if possible. It's same reason I am not thrilled with Rashawn Slater at OT. I like Slater and could live with it. Same for Ojulari but I just think big long armed guys are going to give them fits

Khalil mack is 6'2

If Dallas scouts do indeed think he's the best edge rusher in this group then he most certainly can be taken at 10.
All of these range 10-20 guys based on mcshay and kiper mocks makes me believe cowboys board is probably looking way different on rankings.

I think Dallas is probably having a serious look at Parsons, Paye, Ojulari, Oweh, Rousseau and Barmore.
Whoever they think is the best guy, might be the pick.

I love Parsons but I personally think Ojulari is an absolute beast. He is ready to do big things in the NFL.

I really like Ojulari too. Used right and he’s gonna kill it IMO.

I had mentioned a while back tthat Ojulari is almost same height and weight as both mack and von miller!
Not bad company.
With the longest arms of the three as well:

Mack - 33.25 inches
Miller - 33.50 inches
Ojulari - 34.30 inches

That extra inch really helps.

In all my trade downs to 15-17, I take Ojulari every time. Then get kelvin Joseph or Eric Stokes or the Syracuse kid at 44. There’s also a chance gambler Jerry could trade back up to the end of round 1 for Farley if he falls

Ojulari, Ossai, and Basham seem to be forgotten prospects at times.
