They are already hyping him up on NFL Network, saying he has shut down every WR so far this season, along with MO. And that Marshall is in for a tough night tonight

If Carr can come away with a pick or 2, and really shut Marshall Down.

With Revis out for the year,Hayden suspended, NA falling off a bit. He might be the next talked about big thing like Revis was/is.

He might get the recognition we all hoped Newman would get.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

I hope he does well tonight but I don't want that talk swirling around.

:lmao:

Curious, why not? Think he might want a bigger Pay Day?

Tonight would be an excellent night for the defense to carry the team,,, get some take-aways and allow the offense to be conservative. It would also be an excellent night for the offense to take care of the ball and not put the defense in tough positions.

Is it dumb I think Carr > Flowers?

I don't think so......

Flowers and Carr are both amazing players though.

Glad we got Carr

I like the idea of the D carrying the team.

But i would love for the Offense to not put them in that situation.

I was thinking that tonight could be the night that our CB's serve notice that our secondary is going to make life difficult for opposing QB's.

Could be...

They have to come through and play well. If they lay an egg on MNF, they can forget about that kind of notoriety for this season.

As for Carr himself; I absolutely think he is an elite corner and could be the best in the league right now.

This is so true.....All that goes out the window with a horrible performance.

About Carr, if he's not the best right now, I can tell you he is top 5, more like top 3. 5 just to be cautious

If he shuts down Marshall tonight then you can start throwing his name out there for best corner in the league.

Carr has earned every cent of that paycheck so far, elite shutdown corners are hard to find - and the fact that he does it week in and week out against each team's #1 guy speaks volumes for the quality of player we got here.

He was just stuck in KC with no hype or coverage. I'm kinda glad we missed out on Nnamdi last year because Carr has been a much better, younger, and cheaper acquisition. Much better return on your investment.

Well my problem is hyping them up just to set them up for a fall. One concern with the old refs back is Carr and Mo won't get away with as much physical play against WRs.

Carr will be showcased cause he will be playing both FS and CB at times, but it has to be seen that there will be some growing pains as he gets used to FS cause its a totally different position with a different skill set.

well, yeah! but I'm more than a little cynical that the OL is going to be able to provide decent run blocking or pass protection against the Bears D.

It would be nice if we had both sides of our OLB bookends to help him out.

I was thinking that the other day. We are much better off with Carr than we would have been with Nnamdi. Easier name to spell too.

That is the luxury we have, IF the D sustains this level of play and perhaps can get better as the season rolls on. The Ravens come to mind, except we have an offense that can make other teams shutter, IF we can stop shooting ourselves in the dang foot.

That has me concerned as well, but if you watch the three previous games again, the corners weren't so physical with the WR's that you can just say the regular refs won't allow it. It was physical, but not in the extreme like I've seen in some of the first three weeks games.

What you do notice is very good coverage, so I hope they don't get flagged a lot and that the refs let them play tonight.

Agreed brother

The Cowboys are extremely fortunate to have Brandon Carr. He's proven so far that he was definitely worth the $$$.

I have not seen the latest news regarding S and CB......is Carr going to play corner and focus on Marshall or play at safety for the majority of the game?
