It seems that Bradie is(or was) one of the leaders of this defense, if so. He does not play that much anymore and when he does not up to par with a "leader" type play. So my question is if he's still a leader why not pass the torch to someone else like Ware, Lee, Ratliff, ext....who's in a better position to inspire or lead other players???

Nothing against Bradie, I like the guy.........but who listens to guy on the bench

Just to be clear, you know that's just an expression and there is no actual handing over of a torch, right?

You're questioning why James doesn't pass the torch to someone who plays more, like it's some sort of formal ceremony. LOL.

"I bequeath the stick of fire to you, Sean One-Arm." LOL.

Alright guy who wants to put anger off.........let me c if I can explain it.

If Bradie is the leader its his JOB as 1 to find a suitable replacement pull him to the side and tell him what the deal is and that its his time to step up in that role........quit being a ********

You just hit the nail on the head!!!! Get rid of more of the loser mentality that this team reeks of...

TRUE leaders just take over. I cannot imagine a successful team with a strong leader needs to sit someone down and tell him he is gonna lead a squad.

I can't believe how much he has fallen in one year with his play. He is only 30, not like he is Brookings age.

2010 - 16 (gp) 118 (tackles)
2011 - 12 (gp) 30 (tackles)

He is on pace to end up with 40 tackles. Going from 118 to 40 in one year. No wonder our d has fallen so much with the inside linebackers outside of Sean Lee. Carter gave us ZERO tackles yesterday. Did he even play? So basically we get nothing out of James, Brooking, Carter.

Sean Lee, that's it out of 4.
