telling that Bennett is now tearless yet thought of as a top 10 TE in a league that now heavily values TEs, many teams even wanting two pass-catching TEs.

I don't see how Logan Paulson didnt make the list at all. He's not a great talent, but he's a great worker and excellent blocker. He was signed to essentially just a blocking TE, but when Davis hasn't been able to play due to injury or suspension, he's proven you can't ignore him in the passing game.

Gresham was a pro-bowler last year is ranked 50th, behind his backup.

Not to mention the Patriots had 4 TE's on this list.

You can tell the whole thing is flawed when Vernon Davis is ranked #1. He is a very good tight end, but he isn't the best in the game. Especially when you look at the season he just had.

He produced less than his average yearly production. He ranked 28th in receptions by a tight end and 17th in yards by a tight end. Stats don't mean everything, but they have to mean something. He doesn't have to be the leader in those categories, but he should be at least in the top 10 in those numbers. He should also be coming off one of his better years, not one of his worst.

Wow, I looked at the top 10 and didn't see Witten's name on it at first. Almost went internet-ballistic :laugh2:

The list is from Bleacher Report which means it is basically some College Freshmen's opinion.

Yeah, I wouldn't put too much stock in Bleacher Report's lists. I've been keeping up with their lists. So far they've done QBs, LTs, RTs, Cs, Gs, FBs and TEs. They had Ryan Cook rated as one of the better centers in the game. The lists are crap.

He says its not off of stats but his analysis of individual skills.

Like he ranks speed that makes no sense, he has Tom Brady as a 3/5 in speed which was the same as Russell Wilson etc.

Cuz he's not a top 10 TE in the league.
