WOW did anyone else watch. Babe and Watkins both stated their really giving up on Romo. Babe stated hes been friends of Romo but these same late game things keep popping up. Watkins was saying hes ready to move on from Romo because the mental factor to lead a team to the top is not there. He stated not during this season but after the season. Babe asked if he meant going to Kitna or McGee and Watkins stated no not during the season but after the season going in another direction.

People here are acting like what happened yesterday is acceptable.:laugh1: That CANT happen in any league.

Maybe, but what's the Alternative?

wow, if Babe is ready to throw in the towel on Turnover Tony, things must be bad.

I like Romo, he's a very good qb but I don't think the Cowboys will reach the mountain top with him under center. Too many poor throws and brain dead decisions offset the many great things he does. The problem is who do you replace him with after the season. There is not a qb on the roster better than him. Drafting a qb and throwing him in there means a step back.

Where do you go though? McGee? Kitna is likely gone.

It'll take several boatloads of draft picks to grab Luck and depending upon who gets the #1 slot, may be unwilling to give him up.

I still think this team has a lot of issues it needs to address that wouldn't be possible with giving away tons of draft picks. I think a bit of game plan changing needs to be done. Get us a bonafide premier back, use Felix as the dynamic change up back, shore this OL up even more. Get Carter in there with Lee, add some more pieces to the secondary and I think a Romo led Cowboys team can go very far.

Someone should ask him about JG and his bad tendencies.

wait a minute wait a minute...Watkins says move on from Romo and everyoen is ready to? Watkins...a noted NYG fan? Please!

Build a team that does NOT require him to throw in 47 times a game and we can win with Romo. When you throw the ball 47 times mistakes (he made 2) are going to happen. Go see the Pats last week losing a 21 point lead because of Brady's 4 picks. we are PASSING team. We will throw picks. If you don't want to throw picks....develop a running game. It is really that simple.

Garrett316 there really is not an answer for moving on from Romo. In honesty the only young QB might be Andrew Luck, but he'll be the #1 Pick in the 2012 NFL Draft and say for example the Boyz are picking 20th they would most likely have to give up their 2013 #1 and possibly a 3rd Rounder to boot. If they did all this they could possibly move up but that's about the only alternative.

Take a heck of a lot more than that.

Watkins is a Stealers fan, but carry on...

so the team was flawed going into the season....someone still deserves blame.

I would actually like to hear audio of Babe saying he gives up on Romo before I would believe it.

Babe was one of the first guys that recognized Romo.

You said your self you don't think we could win with him so what are we really taking a step back from? 8-8 to 6-10 with the potential to be better a few years down the road?
Garrett was pulling wins out his *** with the likes of Kitna and McGee last season, so there's no reason to think he can't get us some wins while developing a QB. Garrett and Romo is just a match made inn hell one of the is going to end up costing the other one his job

As would I, but if it is a true statement it is very telling. As you said, Babe has been in Romo's corner from the start.

I won't debate this...because I don't find him trustworthy at ALL. One of the BIGGEST agenda guys in the Dallas media and that is saying lot when you think about the Dallas media. But my point..who gives a flying you know what about Watkins opinion that we need to cut Romo after the season. We are a passing team. The team is built to pass. Wheter we should or should not be is a different argument. But this playcaller and personell on this team is more inclined to pass. There are probably 5 QBs who do it better...and ALL of them are leading the league in INTERCEPTIONS!

tough day...really tough day. The Packes scored 49 points yesterday...because they kept playing. We kept playing. You have to get first downs. We were not going to get first downs running the ball. It is who we are. You love it when it works. Hence the 27 - 3 lead. Made 2 bad throws in 47. Perhaps his teamates could have backed him by tackling the guy?

Garrett is his BFF... He's never going to blame him.

In fact, I bet if we had some other random NFL coach, he'd be the one getting the blame instead of Romo.
