First off I want to say even though we lost I still had a good time at the game.

I just got done reading the thread about the crowd noise and I have to disagree with a lot of you. I dont know what it sounded like on television but at the game it was pretty loud.

At the first of the game it was absolutely deafening how loud it was.

Marcus Spears was really good at getting the crowd pumped too.

That being said it could be better. Not EVERYONE was extremely loud but today I can barely talk and have a headache from yesterday.

Wouldn't you know the guys behind me were the "please sit down" kind of guys and couldn't stand for 4 quarters of football. But since the rest of the stadium was standing it was just to bad for them.
------------
Thoughts on the game

Lets start with the Defense.

I want to start of by saying PLEASE get off the field on 3rd downs! We had them so many times and our coverage just found ways to break down.

The Patriots are a team that WILL take what you give them all day. If you want to give them 3 they will take it. It was so frustrating to see our defense just give them yards.

Also Randy Moss in person is even more impressive than the guy you see on TV. The catch he made out of bounds in the end zone was amazing.

When Brady learns that all he has to do is throw the ball up sky high and just let Moss run under it its over for the rest of the league. He truly is incredible.

Newman played about as good as he could with the way Brady was playing yesterday. Reeves just wasn't ready for this game and that type of Quarterback. Maybe by week 15 with more experience but just not right now.

The safeties gave up some big plays early that really put us in a hole.

Going down 14-0 and coming back to even take a lead at any point shows what our team is all about. I was proud of the way they battled back but at the end of the day we just had to many penalties.

Time of possesion really killed us too. Especially when we had to keep our D on the field the entire game who just got done playing a game 6 days ago on Monday night. They just wore out.
-------

Thoughts on the Offense.

I want to start off 1st by saying our offense REALLY needs Terry Glenn back.

We have to stretch the field more and we obviously dont want to send TO on a deep route for some reason so we need a guy like Terry Glenn to stretch the field.

Almost anytime someone was open yesterday Romo found them. I tried reading the defenses and it was just crazy how nobody was open. Romo did a fantastic job yesterday.

He bounced back well and he could have very easily had a 3 or 4 pick performance because guys just weren't open.

Julius and Barber ran well but Barber in person is just so freaking intense. Everyone in the building can know that guy is about to get the ball but there just isn't jack you can do about it.

TO played a heck of a game as did Jason Witten.

At the end of the day the penalties were just to much to come back from.
--------

3 things that changed the game IMO

1. The Pass interfence call was absolute BS and the ref that called it wasn't even in position to call it. Our guy went for the ball and the ref called the PI and it really broke our back.

2. Kyle Kosier tackling Bruschi. Why would he do that? WHY?!?! We didn't even need a foot and he held! They weren't going to stop us if we got that 1st down.

3. My boy Wade Phillips made his 1st bad decision as a coach imo. He showed faith in a defense that couldn't stop Brady all day and it ultimately finished us off.

Worst case scenario would be that they get the ball at the 5 yard line. Instead we get the 3 and give them the ball at the 30 yard line and with room to operate. It absolutely took away all of our momentum.
-----

All in all I think we can beat those guys but we will have to almost play a perfect game to be able to do it. We will need Anthony Henry back, and we will have to take our chances with getting beat deep because we cant just GIVE brady 3 yards cause he will take it every time.

If you have any questions hit me up because I cant think of everything off the top of my head.

TG is done. I wouldn't expect him back. We need to do with what we have.

Crayton has played one good game so far. Otherwise, he hasn't had an impact. Is he someone we bring back?

Of course. Crayton is a really good receiver. Just because he doesn't stretch the field doesn't mean he isn't a really good receiver.

Hes a possesion guy who gets good yac and I just cant say enough about him.

Put it this way. There is about 25 other team who would love to have Crayton as their #2 receiver.

We just need to take more shots down field and if they aren't going to let TO have any chances at getting the deep balls then we need someone they will take more shots down field with.

I didn't disagree with this call at all. There was 10 minutes left in the game. And this put us down by two scores (a TD with 2-point conversion and a field goal) instead of two TDs. Having faith in your defense is a good thing.

We stopped Brady multiple times, although I have no clue why our players just bumped him when they sacked him 3 times (except for the Ellis sack). They were probably afraid they would get a personal foul on Brady because apparently he was wearing a diaper like Hatcher did even though he was easily within two steps of the QB.

One good game? You're blind. Crayton has done pretty well if you ask me. It's not his fault Tony's first, and sometimes only reads are Witten and Owens.

TG is not done until I read it officially.
Give the guy a chance. He took the risk of having the 2nd scope instead of the microfracture procedure. Don't write him off yet. He's a tough SOB and a healthy Glenn, Henry and Tank Johnson will make this Dallas team a pretty scary opponent for our NFC EAST counterparts after the bye.

Yeah I agree but this was the best team in the NFL and you cant hope for things to go right. You gotta take them.

I buy into the whole have faith in your defense. But yesterday was not the time.

I believe that had we not got the Touchdown New England wouldn't have scored from the 5 yard line and we would have been down by 14 with around 7 minutes left at worst with the ball.

Crayton is not a #2 WR.
He simply isn't.

I like the guy as a local kid and hope we keep him but not to promote him to #2 WR. He needs to remain the 3 and we need Glenn back and a top draft pick in that mix. All of these out of nowhere WRs is not cutting it. Its time to invest in the position in the draft.

I would bet that a lot of NFL scouts would disagree with you.

The guy catches very well, he can make a clutch catch, he can break tackles, and hes a smart football player.

The only thing he lacks is top speed.

He may not be able to be a #2 here in Dallas because of the picks we have in the draft next year but a lot of teams would take him as their #2.

Don't know where you getting this nonsense that Glenn won't be back. I understand that Glenn has rehabbed to the point he now is sprinting in practice. Let's wait a while before you throw him off the bridge.

I think you absolutely bring crayton back.

I dont care what number you try to decipher him as, a 2, 3 or a 4. He is a good player on this team and he is valuable on special teams.

He will be back.

I disagree. Whenever he is the read and gets thrown to he nearly always snatches it. He had one drop yesterday, I think that's 2 for this year.

The fact is that our second WR this year is Witten, so Crayton doesn't get reads too often. That's a GOOD thing.
