Backup RB no longer a liability

It was not too long ago where our starting RB was marginal at best and our backup RB was a liability on the field. Now, we have Julius Jones starting - who is a threat to the defense any time he touches the ball. And when we spell him with Anthony Thomas we actually have a solid backup RB filling in.

The few times A-Train touched the ball he contributed. My favorite play from him was one where he got no gain, but did so by escaping two defenders three yards behind the line of scrimmage to at least get back to the original line. Then there werre other plays where he got positive yards by getting more than the defense allowed him. He pass protected well too.

It's so sweet to finally have a backup RB who can spell the starter and not have the offoense miss a beat.

Yes, it was very nice.

In fact, it would have been nice to put A-Train in there for a play or two when JJ was tired and not getting much help from the tired line. He could have provided a change of pace that might have been helpful.

I agree, A-Train is good and should get the rock once in awhile (though JJ is the man still)...
