Bad Defense. Does this make sense to you?

i thought a. glenn was actually playing the best corner on the team until recently. IMO henry just plain sux, and t-new is average. i know a lot of you think he's the second coming of neon deon, but there's a reason he doesn't get picks. he's been burned as much as anyone lately.

That kinda talk will get you banned! Everyone here swears TNew will negate any receiver, in any situation one-on-one for up to 3 or 4 seconds.

That play was a blatant Offensive Pass Interference. They don't show it on the replay, but I was at the game and everybody in my section (great seats!) saw it plain as day.

Roy pushed off big time to get open. I couldn't believe the ref didn't call it. It looked like he wasn't paying attention.

Why was Williams not double teamed there? Meaning the safety shown on the same side of the field, where did he go because he certainly did not roll the way of Williams? Did he go to double team the TE with the LB?

Because we have the opponents best weapon....he is called Zimmer...

These are all good observations.

If I am mistaken, this formation resulted in another huge Touchdown for the Lions. Newman was lined up in the Slot over Mike Williams and Williams ran if I am not mistaken, a corner route and caught the TD.

If the above is correct, that is just great coaching. Showing the defense the same formation, with players in different positions and mixing up who you throw it too.

Also, I bet the Safety was suppose to help Glenn on that play but as someone stated, the route Roy Williams ran was pretty hard to cover for any Safety.

We spotted them 21 in the first quarter and would have won...if not for stupidity like this...And don't forget, it was the end of the first half...we had gotten relatively close...and with very little time remaining in the first half, Switzer had them throwing the ball on our own 25 yard line.

We gave the ball back on downs....went single coverage on Rice...and he scored a TD just before half.

Even then we still had a shot until the NON interference call with Sanders vs Irvin.

This is exactly why Glenn is covering Williams. We play zone and don't give a single thought to matchups.

Everyone else does, meaning calling plays against this defense is a piece of cake.

Hmm...shorty is playing LCB. Let's put a tall guy over there and just throw it up for grabs.

I could have called that play...

Everybody was LOVING Aaron Glenn when he jumped that route against NYG on 3rd and Goal from the 4. He nearly picked it off, and that was against the 6'5 Plastico.
