When a franchise wants to be cheap in free agency ( going to Goodwill each season) and then their past 5 years of POOR draft, you see why this team continues to decline.

One of the worst sentences you want to hear from a college player getting drafted by the Cowboys:
" Insert players name_____________ You are a Dallas Cowboys"
This means, you will never get to a NFC Conference game and will be a D grade in years to come

---- So to sum this all up. Dallas (Jerry) has no clue how to evaluate talent.

The first line about FA says it all...

If you are good in FA and decent at drafting with a good QB you should be fine.

We are bad in FA and have been decent at drafting expecting rookies to save us and the QB to play like Brady.

Ahhh-- the draft has not even been decent. It has been BAD. Watch the video

Draft was good last year - point taken for pretty much every other year though. :lmao:
I was not a fan of Guard at 12 due to positional value...Booker was good but you probably could have gotten a Guard later.

Pearce was my Edge 1 and he would have helped a lot this year...

Danielle Hunter was availabe not long ago…clearly Demarcus Lawrence still had juice left…either would’ve helped the defense tremendously…
More proof the FO doesn’t have a plan, just emotional overreactions…

Eh,
Weather Lawrence would have provided juice is irrelevant.
He missed 13 games last season and 10 in 2021.
Even being on the Seahawks he counted 7.5m against the cap. He again only produced 6 sacks. If he was here it's unlikely they would have brought in Clowney who produced 8.5.
I liked Lawrence a lot more than many here but there's just no logical reason to give him another multi year contract. It was well past time to move on!

I believe Walter Nolan was the other player they considered at that pick. If I remember correctly they didn't believe either would still be on the board at the only trade offer they received either 22 or 24.
I don't believe Pearce was ever a consideration or don't remember reading anything to that effect.
Probably too much baggage!

I would have been fine with Nolan too...he was a stud this year.
