well, coughlin directly contributed to this loss. a big loss on the road for them. but I guess if you have won two superbowls you get a longer leash. but if you are Garrett you get dragged across hot coals by the anti-garret crowd.

it just goes to show you even the best of them makes mistakes.

Funny thing is I distinctly heard Manning yell "kill kill kill" right before that last pass. He totally checked out of the run.

Yeah there is no doubt Super Bowls buy you a lot of slack from a player's performance to a coaches play calling but Caughlin is on thin ice and Giants fans are skewering Eli considering his new contract.

That was a gut punch to them that could last awhile.

I think he changed the pass play
Tom said it was a pass called
Eli should have been smart enough to take the sack but that quick pressure on him probably clouded his brain
The pass play wasn't the problem
The throwing the ball away was

Coaches are getting reckless these days; shades of Pete Carroll in the Super Bowl. Of course, when Payton called a surprise onside kick in the playoffs, he was a genius, because it worked.

yeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa dont go pitting Coughlins record vs reds anytime soon.

Romo drove the team for the 80 yards with no Dez Bryant and no time outs. Giants failure to stop Dallas is what cost them the game. Sorta reminds me of us failing to stop a one legged Rodgers last year and yet everybody points to the non-catch by Dez in the playoffs.

Pete Carroll did some bonehead stuff yesterday, too.

I am not comparing, but saying that all coaches make mistakes and we can take them and put them under a microscope and focus on one game or we can look at the overall progress, approach, etc.

just sayin....pete carroll had a brain faarrt in the most important moment of the biggest game. coughlin did too. they are not immune
