On that second one, where Elliott tries to block Thompson............... was that just Elliott seeing someone coming and peeling off to try to block or was the play design?

On the third play, Jarwin is open at the last second right in front of Dak. He had time to get him the ball.
On the fourth play, he could've hit Jarwin early or stepped up in the pocket and his Gallop for a TD.

The problem I see in those two plays is not with the receivers getting separation - it's with Dak.

It was Dak not reading the D correctly. They walked him up late and Dak didn't account for him coming on the blitz. He should have seen it and called off the PA and just sent Zeke out on that side to pick it up. Perhaps he just assumed Zeke saw it and would handle it. But that is the QB responsibility. He should have changed the protect or changed the play to get the ball out quick if there was someone they couldn't block.

C-Will was prepared to block out on #91 which means Tyron could have blocked #94.

With All-22 on tablet it's possible to zoom in. C-Will was looking right at #91 pre-snap and appeared to expect to block in that direction. Looney blocked the inside DL leaving C-Will available.

If Tyron (and C-Will) had blocked out, then if a LB blitzed in the middle Zeke would have been in position to pick him up.

Tyron had his head in his butt this game. It was not physical issues but mental. From memory:
1. This play.
2. The block in the back.
3. Blocked the wrong defender when several OL pulled right and Zeke tried to get outside.

T Fred calls the blocks, I wonder if Looney was having trouble with that?

That crossed my mind but the block in the back and the missed block in space probably wound not be affected by the Line calls.

The sack where #94 was unblocked definitely might have been resolved if Fred was playing.

Only because they use a player that's not on the field that much and then bring a player in for a set play.....smh.

Welker, Amendola, Tyrik Hill, etc don't come off the field.....that's why it works! :banghead:

Noah Brown comes to mind. Last year, every time he came in and lined up in the backfield you knew it was a run.

There is no question that with a bad Oline and bad play calling and no run game, that Romo is a better fit then Dak. That is not even debatable. At least Romo could make it interesting. But when we revisit history, we will find that Romo didn't do Jack with these losers coaching and Jerry running the show either.
