There is no question that with a bad Oline and bad play calling and no run game, that Romo is a better fit then Dak. That is not even debatable. At least Romo could make it interesting. But when we revisit history, we will find that Romo didn't do Jack with these losers coaching and Jerry running the show either.

Yes Romo could have spoke up and did something about the bad playcalling. But I think he relished in it because they losers that run the show put alot of faith in Romo. Thus they are scrambling now because they know they can't run an offense even if their life depended on it.

This is what the Dallas Offense should look like.
But we have Scott Trashcan calling plays.

I'm still trying to figure out wher Jarwin is wide open. Looks to me Dak has already came off him once he got a little separation.

And have Austin ride the pine?? Never!

Austin needs to run several vertical routes per game in order for other DC to respect him on the field. Or else it's just playing in the box and wait for Austin to run a screen or sweep. Easy picking

Romo can throw 5 ints and still put up more than 16 points on the board.

Only because they use a player that's not on the field that much and then bring a player in for a set play.....smh.

Welker, Amendola, Tyrik Hill, etc don't come off the field.....that's why it works! :banghead:

Very ingenuitive play calling. Defenses watching thousands of hours of tape will never figure it out.

Not anymore he cant. On Sunday, the old Romo would have gotten knocked out in the 2nd quarter. Probably broke his neck this time. We probably score more points. But they score more with the two interceptions he throws.

For what? He don't know what he's talking about most of the time.

Why?

Because he had the audacity to point out some coaching/scheme mistakes?

It's going to be a sad day in your household when reality kicks in and you realize you spent all this time defending a mediocre head coach.

That's what you call them or he calls them with nothing knowledge of players responsibility.

This is a tweet from people who actually spend time in practice.

Man I really like blaming Garrett and Linehan for everything, but in this first half the offense they called was actually fine. Nothing down the field but it really was just execution failure. That's not as much fun as blaming Garrett. Dangit

Interesting article from last year that talks about the lost art of play calling and how it's not simply "execution" that rules the day on game days.

Saban:

Alabama coach Nick Saban urged his team to win each individual battle and not get caught up in the hype of Saturday night’s titanic matchup between the No. 4 Crimson Tide and the No. 2 LSU Tigers.

Saban joined the College GameDay set just outside of Bryant-Denny Stadium to discuss the game. Saban told the panel that his team will need to remain focused on the task at hand, despite the game’s championship implications.

“I think the most important thing that your team needs to do in big games like this – LSU has an outstanding team – to be able to stay focused on executing on the field and not get involved in all the hype outside the game,” Saban said. “Win your individual battle, win the one-on-one battles, execute and do your job together as a group gives you the best shot to be successful in games like this.”
