Several ‘bags of air’ from Kobe Bryant’s final game hit eBay on Saturday, with bidding starting at the low price of $1.

There’s a 99.9% chance this isn’t the real air from Kobe’s final game, but who cares? It’ll cost you one measly dollar to bid on. Maybe five in the end.

The 8:35 am eastern time update said the listed had been taken down. Did someone report the nonsense to Ebay? Or did the nonsense sell? And yes. Any bag of air selling for more than one millionth of a cent is nonsense.

My guess is Ebay probably took it down. Some idiot out there just got a huge reprieve.

Probably some kid bidding it up as a joke to grab headlines in the hope that eventually someone actually decides to place a legitimate bid.

Lol, this reminds me when I was younger working in the lab in a rubber manufacturing plant. Any time there was a new hire in production, they were always hazed by being told to catch some air in a ziplock bag and bring it to the lab for testing. We would tell them they had been "punked" and the older production hands would get quite a laugh when they returned to their post.
