In past years I looked beyond Baker's controversial ways, and managed to at least be entertained with his story and play. And I liked the Browns narrative last season.

However, It's getting difficult to cheer for the guy. I don't care about the noted beer consumption at the baseball game...It's all the other stuff. Like his pettiness with the former Browns HC...and the totally uncalled for shot on Daniel Jones.

As things stack up I can't come to any other conclusion. This guy is a true horse's behind...and a complete narcissist. I find it almost impossible to root for him anymore.

Yep, didn't care for his antics at OU and it appears nothing has changed.

Good point and couldn’t agree more. He’s doing all this with absolutely no skins on the wall.

I think many players at the NFL level teeter on the line between confidence and cocky. Mayfield doesn't bother with confidence, he goes straight to being a d-bag. That attitude is okay when things are going relatively well. It gets messy when the team/player is struggling. That is when his teammates will grow weary of his act. He didn't do well in the dress rehearsal game last night. For some reason, the expectations are high for the Browns this season. I think they won't make the playoffs.

Bottom line for Baker, you can be an *** if you win. Once he starts losing, the fans will go away and turn on you.

I don’t mind it. I prefer him being real as opposed to what the media wants to hear.

This is what you were always getting with Baker.

I’m interested to see how he responds to NFL adversity because the NFL humbles guys real quick and that is why most of these great QBs are very Robotic and CEO / Coach on the field types.

Baker goes against a lot of protocols to be a great NFL QB.

Love his swag. Don't ever change Mayfield.

This. I love how brash he is and gives zero you know what what other think. That planting the flag at Ohio St was brilliant. And this is coming from a big Longhorns fan. I enjoyed watching him play. If every player was boring robots, sports would be boring. I don't get why people care if an athlete that is paid to play a game for entertainment is brash and cocky. These are the same ones that hate TD celebrations and want the players to "act like they been there before" and then proceed to bring up the old days.

he's an idiot, plain and simple

BAWAHHHHAAAAAAA
astoundingly HILARIOUS
:lmao:LMAO:lmao:

* That buffoonish burst of less than breakaway flee on foot from four frickin' focused fuzzmen speed he'd employed was absolutely
PRICELESS in it's witnessing:lmao:

it's kinda' sad in seeing the mentality & maturity's levelled make up that those clown-shoes clad Cleveland downs continually place in the cockpit to fly da'plane,,,:(,,, their Fan base deserves better,,,much, much better than what's being bung hammered onto them:facepalm:
