Give them credit for being physical but to me the inability to defend 1 single pass all night was shocking. Dart missed 6 passes all night and 2 of those may have been throw-aways. IMO that was the difference and very surprising. Likely looked like 1983 Kellen Winslow

He wasn't wrong.
The first level of defense got prison raped up the gut.

Specifically the DTs. The Giants Guard Center Guard group is not some first ballot hall of fame trio either. Leading with that big full back was as basic as it gets. And EVERYTHING negatively defensively trickles down from the DTs NOT being able to stop the run. They could not.
Period.

Made Skattebo look like Jim Brown.

Exactly.
There's a few here who also tried selling how different the defense was gonna be.
And selling it hard.

Not hearing too much from those who sang all those high praises as in maybe admitting to large helpings of crow or just flat out being wrong.

But I don't expect that from the ones I'm talking about here actually so its no big surprise.

Hades, the Gnats D was 28th last season with Lawrence. So, who are these monumental additions that make their D so great? Our D is much better than theirs, not to mention much more talented. Reese? Get outta here, talk about overrated. Reese will make the Gnats regret passing on Downs. In a big way.
