Baldy Breakdowns: OC Kellen Moore's Offense

Multiple receiver sets,
pre-snap motion,
RPO
Hard counts

Amazing how the team has transformed themselves with great play designs. Welcome to the 21st century.

La'El was killing players during the game. Collins was the best O-linemen during the game.

It's true. We went from scoring 36 against the Giants in our last regular season game to scoring 35 against the Giants in our first game this season.

I'm glad this got mentioned - we saw the hard counts that other QBs use, but the Cowboys typically haven't. It can allow Dak to see the first movement of the defenders to get a feel for what they are going to do.

I loved what I watched on Sunday with this offense....FINALLY playcalling that matches Daks skill set with RPO, multiple receiver sets, pre snap motion and hard counts, spread offense, balls down the field, not dink and dunk as we watched for the last decade, the Giant defense looked lost at times and receivers were wide open all day, Dak didn't have one option in the pocket, he had three and four options on plays, rarely do you see that!

It took the entire game to score those 36 last year, whereas this year we scored 35 in 2 1/2 quarters and then just ran the ball and punted while Dak, Zeke, Martin, Cooper and Tyron Smith watched from the sidelines.

Tyron, Martin, Fred, and Zeke were all watching from the sidelines the entire game last year.

(Last year's game had no bearing on Sunday's. I'm excited about new offense. My comment was 95% in jest, 3% "It's just one game", and 2% "It's the Giants, dude.")

There's certainly a connection and understanding between Dak and Moore. Let's see if that can maintain throughout a full schedule and against better defenses.

No doubt this looks better than what we saw before.

So Dak spent his time in the off season studying and spent extra time with his receivers. And it has paid off, or seems to have for one game so far.

Hard work and no Cabo gets you the NFC offensive player of the week. :muttley:
