Twitter: Baldy Breakdowns-Tyler Smith

Keep those pads down young man, life in the trenches is so much easier when you do. Good to hear he didn't draw any holding calls. Like Sam Williams on the defensive side of the ball, the talent and the strength is there, he just needs keep working on that technique. Who knows, if he works hard enough maybe one day the guy across from him might call in sick on game day;)

If Tyler plays maybe the 1st quarter or close to a half, then is pulled. We know he is the starter for sure.
Which we really already know he is. But you know the coaches and FO, they need to think they are fooling the other teams.

If we can get strong, steady play from the center plus uninjured and solid OT play this season, we will be a good team. The C, RT and a healthy LT position concern me the most of any on this team.

Typically I would agree with you about our FO thinking that they are fooling everybody. But I just think this is a case of the coaching staff trying to get Tyler Smith as much NFL experience as possible before week 1. With todays training camp rules, rookies have to gain experience in preseason games as they are barely allowed to practice anymore.

Tyler Smith is going to be dominant.

As always, Baldy knows what he's talking about. He needs to do a video on #68 Center Matt Farniok as well.

Farniok looked awesome! Totally more efficient both at the line of scrimmage, handling any NT over him, helping out both Guards to either side of him, and rubbing off into the second level consistently to manhandle a LB. Farniok teamed up with Tyler Smith look smooth, flawless and Totally dominating. I don't understand what the coaching staff is doing not making the switch at Center?

Zeke and TP are going to EAT running left.

And Baldy forgot to mention Nate when he listed all the great Cowboys LGs.
I have to say, we are improved on the Right side too. Steele is a better run blocker than Collins was...regardless of what PFF may or may not say.

We have to be much improved in the run game this year or there is a bigger problem (zeke?).

Hope you're right.

Steele just doesn't impress me.
