He's great, until he is disinterested, then he's invisible. Usually happens when we need him most.
I think people overplay that hand he's definitely doesn't get disinterested in some games where they're putting two guys and sometimes I saw three of course you're going to pull up and stop what do you want to do you're going to try to push through 800 lbs and still try to put pressure on?!

no ,when he's assuming is if two dudes or a third came in which I saw three times he was blocked with three guys with Washington late in that game, you definitely look like you disappeared ,he's going to not continue to rush for what reason he should pull up and then be a linebacker just make sure you don't let your edge get broken, but you're not winning against two 300lb lineman let alone two 300 LB lineman and a back or a tight end, I literally saw that a lot of course you're going to stop and look like you gave up...

no you gave up because there was nothing else you could do, but that means somebody else should have got to the quarterback somebody else should have got to the running back if that much attention is being paid to you why would you waste your energy trying to get through a wall when you know somebody else should be taking up the slack on the other side if that many people are paying attention to one player.

Let's just keep it recent so the last game against Washington he did his job he came out and made them pay for not doubling him he was wrecking the game then they started blocking him with two guys and he was still getting some pressure so then they added a chip guy just in case of course I saw him pull up on some place and it looked like he stopped rushing what was he supposed to do? That's like telling me that a running back that's getting caught in the backfield with three defenders set loose that he should be able to get through that and give you 10 yards you're saying that players should be superhuman and when things are completely breaking down they said still look good and give maximum effort? So whenever a wide receiver gets doubled and sometimes maybe a third guy is lurking underneath in some zones that he's supposed to get wide open and catch all the balls that day or should we expect somebody else to be open somewhere else?

the fact that even when he's not always doubled guys are getting away with holds, I would get a little bit let down in some games if I'm not getting calls and it's almost impossible for me to do my job when I'm being arm barred and grabbed on almost every play!!! One thing I do know they pay a lot of attention to him, and he still gets pressure they hold him he still gets pressure he still getting sacked those are 12 sacks in 13 games?

him getting this many sacks is amazing considering all what i just said above. And I see what you see I see people pointing out sometimes where he looks like he gave up on the rush or he's standing around no when I go back and really watch him breakdown that he was either doubled or more and he was completely stopped and there was nothing else he can do so he pulled up a little and was waiting to see how the play turned out whether he needed to go chase it or what not but at some point you can't do your job so why would you keep trying to push on all that weight?

Don’t you think that when teams see him taking their offense apart, they adjust and assign 2-3 players to him? At that point, he may not make another tackle, but when he receives that much attention, someone else is supposed to beat 1-1 block8ng and apply pressure. That’s when we missed DLaw and Sam Williams this year.

So you guys are cool paying the largest defensive contract in nfl history for 13 sacks per season?
So you rather the money go back in the Joneses bank account. Football is entertainment, I will never understand how fan bases pocket watch players but don’t give a rats azz about owners and front office personnel.

No I’d rather we not overpay for our players. That’s been an issue lately.

Well one, if you believe Parsons, he's not seeking that kind of contract.

Two, the fact you think sacks is the only way to value him, well then, the problem isn't Parsons, it's you.

The guy is an elite pass rusher. He's one of the few that can change a game. Even when he's not getting sacks, he can be doing things to help the team. Just watch that Baldy video, on a couple plays, he's literally being blocked by THREE GUYS. Now if Jerry wasn't such a cheap skate and bad at his job, and put some better players around Parsons, Parsons eating up three blockers would free up others to pressure the QB.

Yeah, I have no problem paying Parsons like he's a great player. Why? Because he's a great player. I don't get you people. You'll complain about how we lack talent to compete but then ***** when we have one but have to pay him. It's freaking weird.

But who says you'd be overpaying for Parsons?

He's one of the 5-7 best defensive players in football. He'll likely get paid like that. Are you suggesting that the Cowboys should actually not pay guys elite money that are elite players?

..at this pace Parsons has probably good 4-5 yrs left, before decline begins.
And show me all the NFL players that play more than 7 years, maybe keep it non QB as they create curve we do not need? It's the price you pay for a superstar you know they know how much the NFL makes and how much they make the NFL they know how much their owner is worth and they know how short their careers are there for they definitely are going to try to get all they can that's why I don't understand some of these people have a problem with some of these contracts they are making these owners a buku amount of money and tax shelters and you're worried about hey if you pay him he can only give you another three to four years that's pretty much what to expect the Derrick Henry types are very far and few between they are anomalies..

I think the league average is the rookie contract there aren't many people that make it past the rookie contract count all the players not just the superstars count every single player in the NFL I don't know how many there are, but my guess is about 1800 give or take a handful.

This is from Google AI,

The average length of an NFL player's career is about 3.3 years. However, this number can vary significantly depending on several factors, including: the player's position, performance, injuries, and the team's needs.

The NFL is considered one of the most physically demanding sports leagues in the world, which leads to a high risk of injury. Many players are forced to retire early or miss significant time due to injuries.

The average retirement age for an NFL player is 27.6. Athletes typically retire before the age of 30.

NFL players become fully vested in their pension plan after three years on active roster or injured reserve. The benefit amount is based on the number of credited seasons played. As of 2023, the average annual NFL player's pension benefit was $43,000.

Context......only one other player has had 12+ sacks in their first 4 seasons.....Reggie White. He was just selected to his 4th ALL-PRO team, that's 4 times in the first four seasons. So for you to say " he hasn't improved since his rookie season" is silly. I don't mean to sound ugly but your post is odd for someone talking football.
