Baldy's Breakdown OL Blocking, What's going on?

I like the play analysis and would like to see more of this type of commentary for all position groups but I am guessing that if you picked though any game you could find a hand full of plays that were poorly executed. These cherry picked plays make it look like a clown show.

I would love to see more analysis from various retired players.

I agree that they are cherry picked (and they kind of have to be - if I'm going to watch 100 play breakdowns every week, I want the Cowboys to pay me for it), but as bad as our pass pro was on Monday, I think these clips are more the rule than the exception.

That TE must have missed the Friday goal line practice...

I don't think Baldy breaks down every play, especially since he does breakdowns for just about every team each week, but breaks down ones that are indicative of the way a team played each week.

Absolutely disgusting play from the coaching staff and the players trying to execute these plays.

Stop listening to this fool, this isn't scheme it's blown assignments.

On two TE blocks the wrong guy, and the other Smith whiffs by cutblocking. Dak also held the ball too long on the last play.

Let's be honest with ourselves for a second here....if our offensive line coach sucked.....why on earth do we think Marc Columbo would've done any better with zero experiencing coaching a unit by himself?I know he has Hudson Houck and I'm sure it will get better as the season goes on but this was the worst timing to make this move. Not that I disagree with the move but it wasn't going to make a immediate impact on this unit.

That second play is 100% on Dak. He had all day to pass, run or do anything. That's on the QB.
When a guy gets off the ground to sack you I don’t think you blame the OL or RB. This Baldy guy is reaching. Every OL has busts here and there. And when you are 2 scores down and in throw mode D’s are going to get sacks on you. As an OC and QB everything you do has to be with the assumption that you have a struggling rookie and reserve center in there. The OL play is solid but it’s not 4 to 5 all pros across the board good. If the called plays or the time the QB holds the ball assumes you have a top flight OL in there then that’s going to be an issue. And that’s what I’m seeing.

You totally blame the RB!

Your taught and it’s common football knowledge to only Cut block on 3 Step or less drop backs. You never cutblock on 5Step or especially 7Step dropbaxks! Because by the time you cut block the QB is only at his fifth step and the defender can get right back up and have a free run at the QB! Totally blown action and decision by the RB, Smith.

This Schulz guy must have eaten paint chips as a kid.

He’s running completely different plays than the rest of the team out there...how does he continue to get playing Time week after week?

I would think as bad as Rico must be, he could've blocked Landry long enough for Zeke to get away. Shultz ran a pass route on a run play. What a bonehead.
