Just my opinion, but I believe McCarthy has heard all the stuff about him NOT being a good offensive mind, that Rodgers carried him, that he checked out years before he got fired, etc…he’s coaching like a guy that KNOWS this may be his final chance at redemption in NFL circles and he looks like he really has been paying attention to trends. Look, I liked that Kellen Moore oversaw some of the best offensive production this team has ever seen. But, there were too many times where things looked off once teams figured him out. While it’s only a small sample size, the way McCarthy (and Schotty) are “scheming” CeeDee open on almost every play is something I never really saw from Kellen. And, I still think there is a LOT they haven’t shown yet…because they haven’t had to.

werent we like a top 5 scoring offense for 3 years in a row???
Yes, against bottom tier teams but when it was needed against GOOD defenses, where was Kellen? Getting owned. He forgot there was a defensive side of the ball and you need to control TOP and never learned that lesson. Look at how the chargers are doing with him now. Same old same old.

Promoted to early and too arrogant to change. Garrett 2.0.
