Good for him. I've been waiting for a free safety with conerback coverage skills. Hope he does well.

Between Ball, Jenkins, Newman and Sensabaugh speed wont be an issue in the secondary. Physicality might be. Better hope we can stop the run with our front 7.

I do, too... Probably because he's tough and feisty and appears to give maximum effort every play. He's turned into a pretty good gunner, and that's not an easy spot to play.

I actually don't worry about his tacking this game (can he do worse than Hamlin)... I just hope they don't fool him into some bad checks in the secondary. But at least Sensabaugh is very smart and can help out in that department.

Ball's not big, but he hits big. Sensabaugh can cover and hit, and our CBs are lighting people up right now. I don't see physicality being an issue this week.

well physicality wont be a problem this week, at least not with them tackling receivers. All the skins receiver are small and quick, so this might be a good spot for ball to come in. Ladell Betts has been running well lately, but our front seven should keep him in check

As much as we were playing Hamlin deep, I'm not sure playing Ball will affect the run defense much. Although he appeared some, I did not see Hamlin involved in a whole lot of running plays.

Still, Ball might be run over if he's the last man standing between a RB and the end zone.

From what i've seen of Ball he likes to lay the wood, more so than Hamlin.

Ball is not half the hitter or cover guy that Mike Hamlin would be.. but of course the coaching staff fails to see talented youth when it in there faces.

Anybody, but Pat Watkins.

He really is terrible.

Seriously. He is a tall version of Keith Davis; great on special teams, but lackluster as a safety.
