Heads up, the 4th annual Ballin with the Boys charity basketball game is today at R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton.

There will be a lot of current and former Cowboys there.

I'm sure its for a great cause but I hate seeing active players from our favorite team playing basketball. Basketball is how acl's or mcl's get blown.

Oh for sure...they play Representatives, Female Newscasters, Principals, local Lawyers, and one or two clunkers thrown in and who do know how to play basketball. Tony Hill MC's the affair, and you laugh your backside off in between actual dunks and three pointers by the Cowboys. They can generally outrun their opponents to the man. And then they bring in a kid out of the stands to shoot their free throws.

What you are missing here, is that is all is for a local charity that very much needs the financial support that these games bring to that particular city. They volunteer for autograph signings at half-times and at the conclusion of those games. It is very social and interactive with the fans.

In college, I snaped tendons in my ankle getting a workout in one of our coach's college classes that was playing basketball. I went up for a rebound all by myself, tucked the ball, and landed wrong. Sometimes, things just happen. But I'd rather be trying, myself, than not...
