Latest weather forecast says it may hit 20 degrees at game time.

I looked up the Green Bay Gazette for the weather & it did say that after school closures Monday due to minus 35 windchill the best weather would in fact be game time Sunday with 17 degress expected. The Gods are looking down on us!

Just glad it isn't a late evening or night game. Hopefully the wind won't be a problem.

GB Gazette...trying to get the fans pumped up about a cold weather game....?
But I also heard it could be around 22 at KO.

The colder the better for us. But seriously too much is made of the weather, who cares just play.

Yeah when I saw 1pm I was relieved.

Daytime. Old vs night time cold/frost. Big difference.

Other than that the cold will be fine.

It's 8 degrees where I live right now, AND I have to go to walmart.

Ugh.

Garrett only needs to keep his team focused on GB not things outside of their control. Weather will be what it will be

It's 24° in Dallas right now and was 18° this morning. They'll handle the weather just fine.

The real turf field condition are more of a concern to me, than if it is 18 or 25.
GB knows this turf. The Cowboys better get the cleats right. May not be a hard turf as many think.

Yes. Because of the heating system under the turf, it's somewhat warmer for the players as some heat radiates upwards.
Didn't they do that one year and the field got too warm? Came completely apart and there was no footing. between the hashes looked like you had plowed it with a tiller...lol i think it was that field, but hey i'm old i could be mistaken.

The temperature isn't the primary issues. It's the wind.

With a slight breeze, 18 degrees is not that big of deal for players because they're active and warmer because of it. However, if it's windy and 18 degrees, that bites through players, and it's very hard for them to get their minds off of it, especially when they're not used to it.

THIS.

I don't think the weather per say means squat.

I do think that the Packer's familiarity with the surface could be to their advantage.

If you get windy condition it will affect the passing game quite a bit.

Got the low down on this situation.....hehe

What's in a name? Apparently nothing aside from a decades-long mythology when it comes to the vaunted "frozen tundra" at Lambeau Field.

In a story in Saturday's edition of The New York Times, the newspaper reported the turf at the Green Bay Packers' home stadium hasn't been frozen during a football game for more than 40 years.

"It's just like playing in the summer on the grass," Packers offensive lineman T. J. Lang said. "It's never hard, it's never frozen."

According to The Times, the ground at Lambeau Field has been heated since 1967 when the franchise installed electric coils underneath the playing surface to keep the ground soft in frigid conditions. The only reason "The Ice Bowl" -- the 1967 NFL Championship game between the Packers and the Dallas Cowboys -- occurred was because the sub-zero temperatures overwhelmed the recently installed heating system.

In 1997, the Packers replaced the coil system with a series of underground pipes filled with a solution that included antifreeze. The Times reported the temperature of the field is controlled by field manager Allen Johnson. Temperatures are expected to be in the 20s during Sunday's divisional round playoff game against the Dallas cowboys, but the newspaper reported the field should read at a comfortable 40 degrees.
