Does anyone know if he is practicing at DE or OLB?

DC.com has him listed as a DE.

ESPN has him listed as a LB on the Cowboys roster.

He worked at OLB for the Steelers and Broncos.

He appears to be an extreme longshot to make the team; however, it does not appear that he has ever been tried at 3-4 DE.

"We like his speed, his size and his athleticism,'' Steelers outside linebackers coach Keith Butler said. "He's an intriguing prospect. "

06/03/10 - OLB Baraka Atkins has gotten a lot of practice repetition with Elvis Dumervil limited as he practices on an injury waiver, and Darrell Reid out with knee surgery. Atkins has taken advantage, impressing the coaching staff. He is looking more comfortable standing up after beginning his career as a defensive end."He's got the size that you're looking for," McDaniels said. "A lot of the outside linebackers -- their best traits are going to show up in August because they're big (and) they're physical. Most of our guys are 255 (pounds) or above and he's one of those guys."

He had really good pre-draft measureables:
NAME: Atkins, Baraka
Ht: 6044
Wt: 271
10 yard: 1.56
20 yard: 2.77
40 yard: 4.69
BP: 22
BJ: 09'04"
VJ: 33
20s: 4.67
3 Cn: 7.02

Maybe they'll switch him back and forth, and make his long shot of making the roster, even longer.

I think its a really good idea to try and develop a big LB like that and see if he can bulk up for end.

Similar to AOA and Teddy Williams switching between offense and defense?
