I bet he does.
I tend to agree...I was listening to Garretts PC today and I am convinced he is the one that likes Barber so much

Everyone on a messageboard is an armchair coach, lol. On that note I remember when we drafted Choice. My buddy who is a Florida State fanatic, but a college ball expert. I mean the man live and breathes it.He says to me," You guys got Choice?" I said "yea why?" He goes "dang you got a steal bro, this dude is a lil baller".

Oh I agree - I'm the official CowboysZone armchair defensive backs coach :laugh1:

But I agree. As a Virginia Tech fan I remember watching Choice when I was younger in the ACC - he can play. Anyone that can put up those kinds of numbers against ACC defenses of the time he was in the conference is a baller.

For the record I think Choice will show us all the same Choice we saw his rookie year. He hits the hole hard and fast, and gets to the second level. Never going to reverse field like Chris Johnson and make grown men look ridiculous, but he'll run hard.

Why is it a big surprise that Garrett likes Barber so much?
because other then his pass blocking were trying to figure out why

Anyone notice that Barber landed awkward after the celebration in the endzone that was called back? Can't remember who did the jump bump with him. Wondering if that set up the injury when stumbled trying to run in the endzone the next play?

I hate seeing guys jump on the other guy or do these high jump celebrations. I always see someone landing wrong and screwing up their knee/ankle/foot and it might have finally happened.

He'll have a lackluster performance and posters here will still talk about him like he should be the starter.

He's viewed as #3 for a reason.

That is a bad sign that a coach plays favorites - even when the favorite is limping. I hope Garrett is willing to admit he is wrong if Choice tears up the field sunday.

Remember Garrett was the guy that insisted we keep Brad Johnson after his arm died.

Color me excited for Choice... but y'all already knew that though. ;)

Yeah... You've been sounding that "he's #3 for a reason" horn all season... zzzz

Romo was #3 for a reason too. Can you elaborate on that reason for me?

Your buddy has keen insight.

Craig

There's no way a #3 back played that well against stout defense. It's not humanly possible.

Because he wasn't a starting caliber quarterback at the time? Are you going to argue that if they started Romo when he was at #3, he would have the same kind of success? Hardly.

I like Choice as much as the next guy, but I don't expect every player to be an Austin or a Romo.

Ohhhh.. Ok. so then you won't argue with my claims since day one.... That he will be a pretty good starting RB for some team in the NFL soon. Correct? Our trash will be the treasure of a franchise with direction.

Not to discredit Choice or anything, but he was also blowing through some pretty wide holes.

He played very well for that game, and made good reads in getting behind and around blockers, but Felix takes some of those runs to the house.

I won't. That's a very real possibility. But I think if that happens we also have a pretty good starting RB in Felix so I wouldn't lose much sleep.

Ok. So now we're talking to possibilities instead of facts. That's no different than my line of thought. Choice can average 4YPC too. I say he quite possibly averages more.

In my esteemed yet humbled opinion, Felix is a scat back. He may never average 25+ carries per game. that may be fine in a pass happy offense but last time I checked, the contingent on the board wanted to get back to more balanced attack.

ummmm is a "whoooooo hooooooo" out of order?

on a serious note, this may be the last time he starts, or gets of 3 to 5 carries in a cowboy uniform.
