I heard a rumor that Barber could get more snaps than Jones this week, is there any truth to that? I certainly hope so, I don´t know what´s the problem with Julius but he is not the same player he was last year.

He's still not 100%. Jerrah even said he's not...you can tell by watching him though. I like that he's playing and working through it. Barber is gaining great experience...both are very good backs. I say stay with both...and ride a hot hand...

I heard a rumor that the sky was falling. I really hope not. That would be just as bad as ANOTHER Jones vs Barber thread.

If it was so bad why did you even reply man?????

Dont blame it on the ankle or not being 100%, thats just crap....He wasnt playing good before the injury either.

JJ has to go out and prove himself once again bottom line.....And I seriously dont think that ankle is the real problem here.

BP got into JJ's head during camp and messed him up- made him uncertain and unsure about how to run. that is about the worst thing you can do to a back- the one player that needs to trust his instincts. That ankle does not help- most high ankle sprains take a couple of months to really heal. Ferguson got one towards the end of camp and its only been in the last few weeks that he really seems to have gotten over it.

Bp seems to have decided that during the first half he will try both and see who has the hot hand that game then ride him from that point on. Sunday it was MB; the week before it was JJ.

Jones has 2 or 3 plays Sunday that he was one defender away from having huge runs. I'm glad they used the draw again finally. It's the best play for Jones, and seems to be ok for Barber as well. It's probably just easier for the lineman. Give Jones 30 carries this week, he'd be back.

I like them both. I think you have to go with barber for now, because he is running stronger of the two. JJ is hampered by the injury, with cutback & speed being his bread & butter. It will be a interesting off season to see how they both respond to this year. I wouldn't be too hard on julious, the running game problem starts & ends with our offensive line. Flozell makes allot bigger difference than I wanted to admit. JJ got the bulk of his yards on the left side last year, & tucker aint no flo! Prossman
