Very quick, near the game's end it said, I think;

Barber set or tied the record for most consecutive games with 10 or more carries and a 5 yard or more average

anyone else see that?

Curious - how many games?
Eight.

But it's a very misleading stat, because it only counts the games in which he got at least 10 carries. The 8 games in which he had at least 10 carries actually stretches out over a 15-game period. For example, that includes a 9-carry game when he averaged 3.9 ypc.

But what it clearly does say is that he definitely does not need to go back to getting less than 10 carries in any game.

So it's not the real record of most consecutive (uninterrupted) games with 5.0 ypc at 10+ carries. But I'd like to know who has that record, because right now Barber is at a legit 3.

Edit: Getting 3 straight, uninterrupted games of 5.0 ypc is apparently very hard to do. Going back to 1995, Emmitt never did it, and Sanders got 4 games in a row of 5.0 only once--the year he rushed for over 2,000 yards.
Nobody else who has had a 2,000-yard season since 1995 has had 4 such games in a row. And Westbrook has never had 4 in a row of 5.0 ypc with 10+ carries.

So what Barber has done this year is pretty significant.

Starting in the early 80s when the Skins began to rise to prominence, Joe Bugel and the offensive linemen used to have weekly barbeques I think every Friday. Everyone had hearty appetites and all of the linemen were fairly young and just either right out of college or 2nd/3rd year. The guys were also bigger then pretty much every DL out there. So the name sort of grew on them and then guys like Riggins and TEs Don Warren and Doc Walker also petitioned to be considered "Hogs"

Lots of Senators in Washington, D.C. Cross-dressing is probably a hobby when you are not tapping your foot in the next stall or humming the National athem between farts.

Bugel and Riggins were cross-dressers. They used to have menage e trois with Thiesman. Joe never did catch on.

Nope it says straight
Nothing against Barber, but that 15-game stretch includes some real weak performances.

Three straight to open a season, though. I promise you that hasn't happened many times if at all in the modern era.

I believe it said something like, "Marion Barber - Greatest Running Back Ever Made."

Or some such.

The more carries he gets, the more those big runs are bound to happen. He keeps pushing and pushing, and eventually that LBs arms are too tired, or he takes an angle that he thinks is correct, forgetting that MB3 has worn him the hell out and he can't get there in time - and suddenly, the defense that has stacked the line against Barber turns into wide open space.
