Agreed. This is legitimate definition of "brotherhood".

College teammates, basically took a journey together starting from boys just out of high school and ultimately leaving as men getting ready to play the game professionally at the highest level.

That's the recipe to forge a pretty deep bond. I have no issue with them displaying that publicly.

I also think there’s something to say for good sportsmanship.

You can absolutely dog fight each other on the field. But then shake hands and be cool after the game is over.

For what it’s worth, Parsons will be playing on his fifth-year option in 2025, and while the LB has said the contract negations will take care of themselves, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones doesn’t always take care of his players. Plus, the Dallas franchise recently opened its wallet to pay Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, so paying Parsons the money he’s worth might be a long shot.

Fan bases expect players to have the same animosity towards opponents as they do and that’s not the way it works anymore. These guys are friends off the field and some even work out together. Sure they want to win when playing each other but the supposed hate for each other’s teams is played up a bit for the fan base. You wouldn’t see jersey swaps and things like that if there was a true dislike.

Both players’ parents subsequently met. Whitehall, where Barkley played high school ball and Harrisburg where Parsons played is less than a two hour drive apart. Association’s like these among NFL players is not unusual.

Parsons is a 3-time ALL-PRO......on a rookie contract. So yes, if a team in my division wants him, that's my price. I admit I would ask as much outside the division but if I'm going to face him twice a year.....
