I’m not hyping up their approach in free agency. I’m just saying based on what I would’ve done? I would’ve kept Coop, Gregory, signed Miller or Wagner and would’ve cut Rush, let Schultz and Armstrong walk. I would’ve destroyed the Cowboys. And I wouldn’t have drafted Parsons lol.

This is the best and most honest post I've seen on this board and you are 100 % right because I would of done some of the exact same moves as you. I would struggle with drafting and signing free agents, however compared to what I've seen some posters on this board suggest I'd be the Jimmy Johnson of this place.

The cowboys cap situation going forward is going to be very healthy.
I disagree. You will have to pay Steele, deal with Tyron's contract, make a decision to either sign/let walk, or pick up the 5th year on CD.

Call us cheap, call us tight with the cap money. Wagner didn't impress me, but #42 for the Cowboys did, and he was a lot cheaper!!!! Please give your thoughts!!
Statistically Barr and Wagner had similar games. Statistically they have not had similar seasons, and historically Barr, while a good player, has never been at Wagner's level. Barr's best seasons would be disappointing seasons for Wagner. You just can't judge players based on one game.

There is no question Wagner is the better player. I was disappointed the Cowboys didn't pursue him harder. Barr seems to be fitting in nicely though, but let's not be fooled into thinking he is at the level of a guy who has already built, and is adding to, a hall of fame career.

It’s all working out thus far…..

My greatest hope is I need to offer up a big apology to this FO.

Their approach is sound business, and I’ve said that much, but it also hasn’t worked over a massive sample size, and I am definitely not giving them the benefit of the doubt, but let’s see.

Ive at least learned how to semi enjoy the ride.

Wagner is 32 years old. The 5 year 50 million dollar contract can only be described as insanity. Barr is only 30 years old and is on a 1 year 2 million dollar deal. That is just good business.

Barr at his current price was a great signing. He's doing a great job along side LVE, solidifying the LB corps so Parsons is free to kill OL's all day. Small risk big reward signing, that is what Stephen Jones prefers but they can't all be like this.

Barr was on the radar prior to FA... and from what I've seen from Wagner, the best way I can put it is he looks tired when he's on the field.

I liked the signing of Barr at the time…but let’s not forget we signed him August. We’re lucky he was even available
