Dumb trial was a waste of tax payer money and time anyway. I'm glad the Feds lost this one.

How is it a waste?

The guy lied under oath.

If prosecuting him isn't a reasonable use of resources than there is no such thing.

Bonds leads the Poster Boys for why you should cheat to get ahead (honorable mention to Mark McGuire, Manny and A-Roid). Major dollars paid, he broke baseball's most hallowed records that others set through natural talent and he never did jail time even though it is obvious he cheated. Forget the feds, this was a great job by MLB for turning the other way so these guys could bring fans back to the game of baseball.

Why the heck shouldn't these guys cheat?

Bonds, McGuire, and Sosa's HR records should be wiped off the books IMO

Because it's immoral.

Did Taylor end up getting off? (pun not intended ;) ) I know he went to court, but I didn't see the outcome.

I understand the larger context of the case, but still, federal prosecutors and the Justice Department should have bigger fish to fry than this ....

All he did was pay for a hooker. His only mistake was he didn't card her. Slap on the wrist was appropriate in this case. Legalized prostitution would benefit both parties as long as they're of age.

:laugh2:

The more he posts the more he reveals.

Someone could still be of age and be forced into prostitution. Legalizing prostitution doesn't solve the problem of sex slaves. Mutual consent has to play a part and that would be a difficult task for law enforcement to monitor.

Very true. But I would think that there would not be the need for illegal sex slaves to the extent there is now. Those caught doing that should be prosecuted to the fullest.

All I needed to see was the look on Bonds face to know he felt he got away with something.

According to the reports I heard, the jury was 11 to 1 for convicting him of purgry and steroid usage. The one juror who would not vote to convict him actually had decided to convict on Monday but when they left to go home, she changed her mind and on Tuesday.
