Based on the rumors, here is possible draft class

If he goes in the 2nd or late first I don't think he will be a bust. He had more bust potential early when some people still thought he could be an RDE. If we drafted him, he would be a productive player in 2021, because we would play him at 4T and 3T on passing downs
R is just dropping is all, and to just to be clear,, anything out of the top 10 in this draft comes with bust potential.
We shall have no potential of bust this year. 2021 draft sitting at 10.
If we move down from ten, it comes with a risk, but great reward if we can possibly move back and still draft Horn.
Staying at 10 and taking BPA is a no risk no brainer,, if you like who is sitting there just take them.
10 is rich stock of top elite talent,, possibly 2 blues.

Pick 10 this season replaces alot of excitement with alot of safety. You aren't getting a franchise altering guy this year, but the bust potential is very low. Surtain doesn't have the upside of the last Alabama CB to go top 10, Dee Milliner. But he is a significantly safer prospect than Milliner was

As many noticed, very hard to project this yr, based on no combine, workouts or 30 visits. Here is a mock, not with a simulator, but rather on the rumors of players the Cowboys have been linked to and their projected draft positions:

1-Surtain CB (they are reportedly very high on a particular corner, it's either Surtain or Horn)
2-Holland S (think there is little chance they head into the season with just Kazee)
3a-Milton Williams DE/DT (whole team of scouts attended his pro day)
3b-Togiai DT (Quinn reportedly went to Ohio State to look at him)
4a-Niemann LB (we heard their interest this week)
I could see Togiai being their first 3rd rounder, and Williams being in an awkward position where they dont value him at 44 and likely wont make it to the third.

If I had to throw money down on 44, it would be on Holland. He could go in the 1st, but I dont think he is 1st round guy. Id always bet against a team reaching for a S in the 1st

Actually this draft class would significantly upgrade our defense and I’d be ok with it

Love it - have to admit don’t know enough about Niemann. I also wonder if Williams can play DE, his numbers from his pro day suggest he has the athletic ability.

I think all of us need to see it to believe it when it comes down to using a day 2 pick on both Safety and 1 Tech. The encouraging news, they have been linked to a few run DT's and the top 3 safeties.

Think he has played 3-4 DE, which is similar how Quinn's scheme uses the 4T LE role on the early downs. Niemann had a recent, strong pro day and is reportedly rising.

Not knocking you bc I don't think this is what you'd do, but I'd be sick to my stomach if this is how it shook out.

This is based on what I have heard or read. You know Surtain isn't my top choice at 10, nor is taking another project like Milton Williams. My #1 choice at 10 after the Farley news is either one of the two tackles.

Rousseau is one of those prospects that the media may like more than scouts.
A majority of his wins came lining up inside.
He's not a natural bender, and he's so gangly that it takes him forever to gather and change direction.
He profiles as a LDE/5T, yet he's currently way too thin to succeed in that role against NFL O-linemen.
What do you do with him?
I wouldn't be surprised at all if Rousseau slips to the 2nd round.

He’s very similar to Taco. Both long arms....

I wouldnt be surprised if Holland fell within reach of our #99

I'm not necessarily feeling the second-round safety although it's certainly a position where we will need a starter either this year (depending on Kazee's progress) or most likely next year when Kazee leaves as a FA. Maybe it's just because I haven't seen rumors of them being high on Holland.

I'm also not a fan of what I've seen of Milton Williams. I'd rather go Togiai and Marvin Wilson there. I don't know if Wilson is going to regain the form that he showed in 2019, but even if he doesn't, I think he can be a quality 1-tech.

I also for some reason feel Dallas is higher on Horn than Surtain, but I don't know why.

....and then you whine about “all the negativity of our fans wanting to cut everyone on the team.”
Yeah, the draft predictions are lame. None of us here know so what’s the point? I guess if it entertains you to waste time on draft mocks or draft rumors you have life issues.

It is possible they are higher on Horn, Quinn was present at his pro day as well, along with having a relationship to his HC.

Quinn travelled to Oregon to watch Holland's pro day in person.

Like Wilson too, but even 75 is a bit early.

I'm not a fan of Milton Williams, either, but is was reported, the Cowboys had an a large group of scouts attend his proday.

I was thinking Wilson with the second third-round pick, which I believe is 99. Togiai would be 75. I could see Togiai at 44, though, if rumors about his stock rising are true.

I don't believe any 2 down run 1T will be worthy of a 2nd rd selection. Just got the beast today, saw Togiai rated as a late 3rd, early 4th which makes sense, where Marvin was a 5th. Perhaps they get pushed up due to lack of talent at the position.
