I remember being taught in Pop Warner football how to recover a fumble when the ball is on the ground.

I remember in high school, doing a drill at the end of practice every day we were in pads, .. on recovering fumbles.

We had two chances yesterday to get a turnover, and could not do the very basic of basics of recovering a fumbled ball.

Dumb, and very frustrating.

Those two blown opportunities could have changed the game. The theme of the game by halftime would have been how careless the Giants had been with the ball, and we may have had the lead.

Instead they are forgotten plays in a 31-14 butt-whoopin.

And talking about the basic of basics, how can we not knock the ball down when it is just thrown up like a 35 yd punt? ... Find the ball, play the ball, and knock it away.

That play was huge because it was 3rd down, and we had the momentum at the time, .. they complete that garbage and we never recovered. (Which is yet another issue I have with the mentality of this soft bunch)

Oh well, when you fall behind 21-0 in the biggest game of the year, 21-0 in the biggest game of Garretts coaching career, against a divisional rival, for the NFC East crown and a chance to silence your critics and make the playoffs, ... what else should I have expected.

There is something deeply, and seriously wrong with the football team in Dallas.

That is what 8-8 teams do. It has been our MO for years.

biggest problem imo is the lack of accountability.

We all know turnovers change games. We always hear how being ' + ' in turnovers translates to success.

The Giants put the ball on the ground twice in the first half. Those both could have been game-changing plays!

Both times our player was the first to the ball, but neither time did we do the very basic of basics of recovering a loose ball in the correct manner, which is taught from youth football on up.

For me it is like watching a teenager that can't tie his shoe.
