Basically every analyst says pretty much the same thing

I expect a different approach since they have more than 60 hours to prepare this time around.

The team stated they spent the bye week preparing for Philadelphia. So I guess they just lied?

Whatever takes away the crossing route makes me happy. Allowing them to simply pick up 10 yards on crossing routes because of zero pressure and soft coverage is deadly.

To further highlight the point.

Opening drive, Eagles move the ball down the field and score a TD in 3 minutes. Converted two third and shorts. And one 2nd and 11 situation.

Dallas gets the ball and eats up nearly 6 minutes of the clock before punting.

Eagles get the ball and go down the field converting one 3rd and short in 2 minutes. Down 14-0 and the time of possession is basically even. So not sure how the defense is winded at that point or not getting the help of the offense. Dallas had one drive thus far, ate up 6 minutes of the first quarter and by the time they get the ball back, they are down 14-0. So the defense was really the biggest culprit in digging that deep early hole.

Dallas gets the ball and has a 4 minutes drive and scores making it 14-7.

Eagles get the ball and kick a FG in 2 and half minutes. On that drive, Dallas gave up a 58 yard gain on a 2nd and 19.

So the offense certainly wasn't great but the defense was spitting the bit well before Dallas started going with a bunch of very short series on offense.

The coaches did. Not the players. Preparing and implementing aren't the same thing, especially against a gimmicky team like the Eagles.

If the Cowboys spend an entire week preparing for a "gimmick" Eagles offense, they are doing it wrong. It actually is a very basic offense with the gimmicks actually being diversion.

It still needs more than 48 hours.

It's obviously different, and teams struggle with it because of that. However, if you can stop their run with seven, you can destroy it, much like Dallas did last year in Philly.

The key to the game is stopping the run, and zone makes it easier to stop the run.
