With the Pickens trade, the next guys in line are Mingo, Turpin, Tolbert, and Flournoy. With all these names comes competition, surely someone will come out better because of it to take that #3 WR spot. I didn't want to include turp because I feel that he's going to be in at times on special packages, seeing what he did last season, he could get a more increased role!

Tolbert all day long.

I think it's probably Tolberts to lose but if Mingo can have a good offseason and soften his hands a little then there might be more competition than many thinnk

Tolbert as #3 with Turpin as a contributor on sweeps and 4 WR sets. With Pickens and now Turpin on a 4 WR set, that’s a lot of speed in the WRs. If Guyton can hold up we Lamb and Tolbert working the middle field and Pickens and Turpin going deep. Pretty nice for us, pretty scary for defenses.

I’d like to see Turpin and blue used some as WR3 in pkgs. but competition is good. At the price you gave for Mingo he better be able to win the job

I think Turpin is out mainly because of his value as a returner, so they will limit his snaps as a WR. He will get some time but not a #3 snaps, unless everyone else just sucks. I like Tolbert, he has gotten better every year and has made plays when given the opportunity so I think he is the lead horse but Mingo is a very talented WR just didn't put it together in Carolina, was it the QB or was it him? If he plays to his potential, it could be a very heated battle for WR3 .

Either way we will have depth at WR for once.

I can see a handful of plays designed for Turpin in space, but he is too valuable on special teams to get hurt playing WR.

It's Mingos for the taking. Up to him.

It's Mingo v Tolbert. The F.O. wants to be right (in some capacity) about both.

Turpin is will get 3-4 targets a game but not a prototypical WR.

It’s Tolbert and it’s the role he probably should be in. Lamb will get a ton of slot snaps so Turpin won’t see anymore time on offense than he did a year ago unless injuries pile up.

To me the real camp competition is who gets those last couple roster spots after Lamb/pickens/tolbert/turpin. Campbell/mingo/flournory/brooks/holden should make for an excellent competition.

Sounds like a new war documentary on Netflix .

If Mingo emerges the Cowboys split him and Pickens wide and use Lamb in the slot. Tolbert had his best season last year but consistency is still an issue for him.

Tolbert is probably the best of the bunch you don't want t have to count on.

Should be a lot of Tolbert & Mingo with CD working the slot and Pickens ripping down the sideline.
