This was on tv last night. They showed the whole documentary about it. It all was shot with a hand camera by a total amateur. It was a great show.

Africa is a place I would love to visit soon. I could do that filming safari thing for months.

What a neat place.

Seen it. NATGEO had an hr long special on this the other night too--interspersed with cheesy youtube comments-- but it did have some analysis. I have the feeling that calf didn't make it though after he escaped based on their wording about his prospects...but it was still an amazing spectacle to witness the cooperation and determination of the herd as they battled to free the little feller.

That tour group shirley got their money's worth on that safari and the older dude who captured it did an excellent job of shooting it with just amateur equipment.

When I first saw that I was amazed that it survived and at how the lions were being thrown around like rag dolls. Usually all you ever see is the buffalo getting taken down by the lions not fighting back and the calling for backup. lol
