Bold Prediction: Stick with me on this one: Sam Williams has a 10-sack season, and not just because he set that as his goal for 2023, but because he's already capable of it — based upon the efficiency of his production as a rookie in 2022. Williams rushes the passer like a bull in a china shop, and I wholeheartedly believe he has a breakout season if given enough reps to do so.

Key Stat: The pass rush in Dallas amassed 54 sacks last season, third-most in the NFL and only one sack away from being tied with the 49ers (55) for second place behind the Eagles. The team's EDGE rush unit also produced 10 of the team's 22 total forced fumbles, as the Cowboys defense finished with the highest tally of both forced fumbles, fumble recoveries (17) and fumbles recovered for touchdown (3) in the entire league.

There is some talent here, can they be even better? With the addition of Gilmore it may give that extra second of coverage, so they DL can get better pressure to the QB.
If LB play improves as well.

I'm looking for Sam Williams to surpass both Fowler ..and even Armstrong at RDE,.. with a full offseason regiment, diet and coaching I think that would go great with a productive camp and preseason, ..and into the regular season.

If " Slam" Williams is not ready yet for a starters' rol at start of season., I'd at least want him surpassing Fowler in the rotation.,
Plus we need to be grooming an upcomer for Dlaw eventual departure.

I think I may be looking forward to the improvement here, more so than how the offense looks with the 30% changes.
Agreed. Defense should be all world.

Thats why its soo disappointing jerry whiffed on the oline. If he had filled the LG spot with a stud this team would have no weaknesses.

The offensive line group is both intense and already a solid interacting group...and oh, yea, pretty talented from the start.

Intense? Without pads?

Solid interacting? Martin was held out for a soft tissue injury, steele is still injured, and tyron isnt a full go.

If your getting technical walenzko is currently our starting RT.

I liked this comment: "All the unit needs to do is keep pouring kerosene on the fire"

Tyler Smith might be the best LG in the league for the 2023 season. He has overwhelming physical ability.
ummm...maybe a little too carried away there. He may someday grow into one of the best OL (probably LT at that point of his career, but who knows where) but I doubt it's this year. He was incredible for a rookie last year, but it's not like he was anywhere near as good as the top OL. Plus the biggest thing against him being the best LG is he probably doesn't play every game there unless you think Tyron stays healthy, which he of course won't. That being said, I'm so excited to watch how he develops. Looks like an absolute home run of a draft pick
