i love idea and tried hard to get into the new versions and at first i loved it but after a few episodes i was feeling "whipped".

no comic relief really. everything "intense". maybe it changed later on but i just needed a break from the constant OH NO RUN! atmosphere.

FYI........They are currently playing older episodes all day leading up to the start of the final episode tonight.

It had a few comedic moments but not many. That's the feel they are going for. It's one of my favorites.

Yeah they never learned that even the most serious shows have to have down time and some comedy or some kind of relief or people start to tune out.
